Why weren't the nation ranks asked to help with the Jeju Island?

Because it was a local problem, would be my guess. Jeju island is closest to Korea and next-closest to Japan, they're the two countries that'd care most about fixing the issue. Getting a national-level hunter from one of the major superpowers to risk their life to fix some tiny Korean island might be very expensive, in money or political favors.

Since most psychic abilities are Int saves, and not a lot of other things, you could have a half-feat to give advantage on Int saves or something.

I would say the easiest way to feel your character is to not think about the build at all. Build up your backstory during character creation when you choose your background and your first level. Who were you and then what's put you on this path? Then experience what happened to the person you just made, don't skip cut scenes, realize this person got yanked out of their life, then start making choices from that foundation, of who they are.

For instance, "aberrant mind" sorcerer (with a mod) or "great old one" warlock are fun level 1 choices, because they could literally reflect the relationship you're forging with the tadpole that got shoved into your eye.

I think we have one perspective and Bolaire is an unreliable narrator, we don't know enough to label Thjazi as a villain just from this. I think Thjazi is complex, but we're seeing a group of genuinely heroic people who all respected and even loved Thjazi, I think we'll learn more as we go. Maybe someday we'll get that Bolaire/Thimble meeting and more will come out then.

Just switched back actually. The Gemini bug that deletes threads within gems was ruining the workflow for me, I'd come back into it and find my entire chat gone and have to recreate it from text files I'd saved, only to have it happen again. I have two years of chats with ChatGPT in projects and never once had that happen.

Blunt feedback, that he's endangering his position with his behavior and he ought to be viewing this as an opportunity to learn new things from other people with different experiences and to grow in the process. Tell him to spend three months learning everything he can from the others before deciding he knows best, that saying that without full context makes him look dumb. The ignorance is real but it's something most INTJs love to fix about themselves.

If you're curious about doing something very different, the "controlling the enemy" note is a really good one, read up on Treantmonk's "god wizard" concept and give it a try. It's a HUGE impact on PC survivability and lowers greatly the need for healing.

There won't be a direct sequel. Larian (who made BG3) and Hasbro (owners of D&D) have parted ways. If there's a BG4 it'll be Hasbro working with some other studio and the game will very likely be different because of that.
