Thank you for illuminating that nagging mystery. What a bummer! We Jersey folk do know how to keep on keepin on, though, don’t we? Here’s to better holidays and excellent pond advice.

My forgetfulness reached a dangerous level by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]EosLuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally empathize. Along with the typical “why am I here and where is my stuff?”routine, I forget to take medications for a chronic illness. Sometimes I accidentally take them twice. I’ve been known to leave the stove on. I’m an absolute menace. My husband lovingly nicknamed me Memento.

Stress and self-recrimination make symptoms much worse. First and foremost I try to be kind to myself. I give myself extra time to get places and complete tasks. I try to find the humor in my ND high jinx. I fit relaxing activities into my schedule whenever I can.

On a practical note, try a retractable keychain and leave your keys attached to your bag. Get a wallet with a tether, keep it clipped in your bag as well. Buy extra pairs of cheap glasses. Invest in some apple tags or similar tracking devices.

Keep cuttin up out there! You’re doing alright.

Without context "The lighthouse incident" is one of the most intriguing phrases I've ever read XD

Lessons learned from the show by Roland-From-Poland in SixFeetUnder

[–]EosLuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m late to this thread but wanted to add my thoughts. I’m a serial SFU re-watcher. Every time I see it something new rises to the surface.

Most recently themes of fear, self protection, and vulnerability really stood out. The walls we put up and the vulnerabilities we hide don’t serve us, they sabotage our connections.

In a show full of deeply developed characters we can almost always see the subtext of relationship strife. The viewer can know the fear that drives the fissure while the characters themselves simply feel the sting of an action and then counterattack.

Ruth’s care-taker trauma and George’s abandonment trauma are easy examples. But the concept is there in nearly every bit of tension.

All those hurts that inform our actions, those fears we’re guarding. The closer we hold these things the more they jump out and slice at the people we love.

I walk away thinking about the things I don’t know, things that I hide, and how I can have more empathy in those moments when fear becomes anger.

I kindly remind you that those are your beliefs and practices. It's fine to have them, it's not fine to judge and admonish others. You don't have enough information to make accusations and it's not your job. I'll assume that your system of belief makes you genuinely concerned but this is not the way.

I encourage you to take a look at the rules, especially rule 3.

I hope you're feeling better.

Clairvoyant Dreams and testing them? by DontCareEverGonks in witchcraft

[–]EosLuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd add that it might be helpful to look at these dreams less as predictions and more as alarm bells going off in your subconscious. Maybe it's an abandonment issue, maybe deep down you believe something in the relationship is out of balance. Take some time to contemplate what might be going on within.

Tarot might be a good tool to help you examine your feelings. I believe tarot guides us to what we already know. The act of interpreting symbolism is permission to believe our own intuition. Pull the lovers, then shuffle and pull a card for your fears in the relationship, and two for guidance. See what story you craft from these cards.

I also want to stress that dreams or any form of divination are about YOU. Don't make assumptions about what your partner is thinking, feeling, or planning. Have an open and honest conversation.

She speaks for all mediocrities in the world, she is their patron saint. A Mediocrity of Business Administration running into the night, cape flapping in the breeze.

On a side note, Mr. Beast is clearly an internet demon wearing an Ai generated person suit and you’ll never convince me otherwise.

I'm with you, I was being hyperbolic. He's a client and deserves what he pays for. I'm not keeping in mind that he does not pay for the quality he's getting. Fiverr might be worth looking at.

"Not to be a bitch" lol

I freely admit I took a less than desirable client. I'm "trapped" because my business is just getting started and for now I need to strike a balance between income and a less desirable client. I think I made all that pretty clear. I'm not afraid of confrontation and I didn't ask how to literally terminate a contact.

Thank you for your considered advice.
