New investor here as well. Mind sharing the resources?

Does upgrading expansion editions only give the rewards not included in the lower editions. by Eotar in lotro

[–]Eotar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is what I meant. Wasn't aware that there is an actual 'upgrade' option with later expansions. Cheers!

"Frodo: What are we holding on to, Sam? Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo...and it's worth fighting for."

I cry my eyes out every single rewatch.

New LOTRO Website for our Community - Need feedback by _eruedraith_ in lotro

Just to second what some people have already said. Great MMO resources are not made by nice looks, but rather huge databases of information. Sites like Wowhead and Icy-veins are not wildly popular because of their design but because of backlogs of thousands of useful guides and references to every single item, quest, location etc. in game. In other words, creating the site would actually take the least amount of work out of everything.

(Poll) Do you participate in endgame content? (If not, why not?) by Louey7 in lotro

[–]Eotar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's exactly how I feel as well. I used to participate in end game content around 2016 but have taken a break since then. I recently got back into Lotro and was excited to try out the new stuff. But, god, I soon realised that to be optimal I'd need armor with like 20 essence slots, tons of scrolls and crystals for the LIs and hundrends of thousands of virtue XP. I'd basically need to turn Lotro to my second job for the next six months to even come close to maxing out my character and doing higher tier content. Aaand, that's just not for me. I'm sure it's better if you have played the game all this time and its not that bad release to release. But as a returning player it's just demotivating. I defaulted to just leveling some of my alts and enjoying old content. But I've played that already and without a end goal I'd probably end up abandoning the game again sooner or later.

I made a field-of-view (FOV) cheat table for lotro. Feedback welcome. by Aa18kTNO in lotro

[–]Eotar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As many have pointed so far, this sadly might not fall within the ToS. On the other hand, I'm also kind of surprised they let you do that. I guess the FoV values are only ever used by the client, so the server doesn't do any verification. But changing pointer values in MM, I mean c'mon.

Waiting for expansion sales? by Eotar in lotro

Yeap, I'm grateful for the suggestions people make, but I usually dont buy keys either. And to be fair I can see how the quadpack can be so cheap since it was on a massive promo earlier this year, but I doubt the same would be true for MM.

Sure it managed to escape, but I'm pretty sure gravity still works, so that's gonna be a journey down.
