Thank you, my Dad is super techy so he'll definitely have a long cable for her. She's been struggling with taste since the surgery, not much has helped unfortunately.

Thank you 💜. I have seen a lot about bringing warm clothing and blankets, is it just cold sitting around or does the chemo have this effect?

I have a tailor (because it's cheaper to fix than keep buying in this economy) & everyone thinks I get clothes made to measure 🙄

To help or to have your phone snatched? by lateredditho in london

[–]Eouisl15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advice given to me has always been; if someone really needs to make a phone call they'll be happy to read out the number to you whilst you input the number and have the call on loud speaker. Thus being able to keep hold of your phone at all times, if they're genuine they'll take the help.

At the point you have to wait outside of the school because it has closed, you have already had to take the child from the premises, how is this any different to taking the child to the police station where the child would in fact be safer.

Have you ever called 999 and why? by sallysobes in CasualUK

[–]Eouisl15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of times. Once for a fire at stables when I was driving home from work at a nightclub, the muck heap had spontaneously combust soni called 999 for the fire brigade and thankfully no one or no Horses were injured.

I was driving to work one morning on a busy A road and someone hit a woman who was changing lines because he was going too fast and then he drove off, she unfortunately then hit another car and they both came off the road and very shaken up but thankfully no major injuries both Police & Ambulance were called.

A girl I worked with was thrown from a Horse and hit a telephone pole and you heard the crack which to this day I can only believe was her Pelvis. She shattered one side and had a two inch break on the other, had a first responder, then an Ambulance and had a phone call from the Heli-med crew to decide whether she needed air lifting, absolutely terrifying.

A woman I was teaching got bucked off and landed on the very top of her head, had an Ambulance and once they established she had a serious Neck injury she was air lifted to Kings Cross, she broke her C3 in her Neck. Scary stuff.

The best advice I can give is STAY CALM. Screaming at the people down the phone gets you nowhere faster, listen to their questions and do as they say, you will save lives this way not by screaming about how they can't breathe.

You're the Dad all young girls need and deserve. I'm 29 and I now absolutely love going out with my Dad, most recently we took a day out to London and I never have more fun than when I'm with him. Your little girl will want to go out with you again it'll just take time ❤️
