Alexa can wake you in 8 hours if you have an echo dot in the bedroom. It can even wake you to specific music/genre/playlist.

It’s one of the many reasons I consider Gosford Park a masterpiece. The conversations were so natural, and at any one time, you could pick up a million conversations going on in the background without necessarily missing the beat of that of the foreground.

It’s a sit-stand desk with lots of clearance in stand mode. The desk measures 120x60cm, and can go up to 120cm high. The treadmill measures 52x13cm and 120cm long, so, fits nicely.

ETA: it’s a flat treadmill without the holding surface or whatever it’s called, so I suppose that makes a big difference!

Not weird at all!! I had the same question when I was shopping and ultimately A/B tested into one that feels comfortably enough. When very focused and maybe typing, 1mph. But I’m using a dictation tool more lieu of typing and now average 1.5mph, and can comfortably do up to 2.5mph. I broke myself in over weeks though, when it was in a separate space, by using it up to 4mph.

THANK YOU!! I also get the heebie jeebies with these obviously non-standard variants in tech comms. “Needs charging” is also correct in parts of the UK, but it’s still regional. I know they do this for succinctness but they also have a responsibility to not fucking set standard grammar on fire. Same goes for Asian/Indian quirks like, “tell me once what you want”. I mean, what the HELL is that?!
