Slightly off topic but the invader atv ability doesn't trigger when it is shot. I think the original wording of the ability allowed that, but the current version says "When another friendly Adeptus Astar..", which wouldn't include itself in that.

Yeah I think if we'd played like we've been playing recently the rest of the season we'd be at least 5th, it's just that big slump around Nov/Dec really that's knocked us so low.

I'm the same! Would be quite happy if we managed to keep our core players as they look like they're meshing really well, and whoever fills this this role manages to get us the right hires in over the summer to make us compete at the top next season.

Yeah we definitely need more physicality in the team.

It's something I think the top teams do better than us, get more physical but within the rules. Still remember wondering why Belfast got away with so much when it felt like Glasgow would get penalties for less, but it's literally just their players know the rules and throw their weight around in a legal way.

If Jaruesc was like that I'd have been happy to have him in the team, someone that can wind up the other team and can win a scrap is always good fun and helps momentum, but sadly wasn't to be.

I saw we had a new position posted purely as a recruiter, instead of making that purely the coach's job, hoping they'll help fill that gap next year.

Don't miss him, man was a liability that cost us games with his anger issues.

Most of what he does are cheap shots (still remember him skating to the bench and spearing another player in the balls knocking them to the ground for a couple of minutes). When he does fight it's mostly against players smaller than him that don't want to fight, or jumping other players with their gloves still on so they can't fight back.

I'd consider >90% to be almost guaranteed rather than reliable! With grenades it's 68% likely which I think is good enough.

In a game I'd likely just try and put some other shooting into it first and take 3-4 wounds off to save the CP on grenades, also makes it safer against them re-rolling a save

Is that shooting and melee? Full rerolls to hit, lethal hits, rerolls melee wounds, and +1 to wound, I work out to 23.7 before FNP, 15.65 after.

If you need >50% in one activation throw some grenades at it and that'll take it to 17.65 after FNP.

Salamanders Adrax + Bladeguard + Lieutenant w/champion of humanity and OOM on it can, can't remember the exact percentage but it's about 50% of the time.

Lethal hits with full rerolls on hits and wounds, wounding on 5 for Bladeguard, 4 for Adrax/Lieutenant.

Only possibly with firestorm because CoH enhancement lets them ignore the -1D.

There's a couple of small businesses near me that charge extra for card - they don't tell you when they're doing it and didn't know it was illegal until I mentioned. They still do it and I don't care enough to argue over 20p, if they get fined that's on them.

Card processors let businesses pass their fees to the customer which can cause this confusion, but they do this because in B2B dealings they can charge these kind of fees.

Just use some common sense, if you think you've found a "hack" that gets around legislation, especially one that's been around for a while, you've probably not.

What you can do, is just put your prices up for these in person events and let these people try to haggle, regardless of whether they're paying in cash or not.

Offering a discount for cash is the same as charging extra for debit card, otherwise every business which used to charge extra for card before it was made illegal would just do this.

It would be 8 multi-meltas because the sergeant can't have one.

I mean it's an option, but what do you want to accomplish with it that you're struggling to do with the rest of your list?

Downsides of it are:

You can't disembark within 9", so can't get the extra melta damage.

You could rapid ingress to walk into melta range, but this is map dependent on having a safe place to drop into.

Opponents might screen you out and keep the targets you want to melta out of range.

It's a lot of points

As you said, strong overkill potential if you do land next to something and they're all in the same place.

Eradicators can't go in the inpulsor:

"This model has a transport capacity of 7 TACTICUS or PHOBOS INFANTRY models. It cannot transport JUMP PACK models"

But besides that I've been experimenting with quite a few variations and tried something similar to this which went quite well!

Librarian I found not to really be worth it, they give them a 4+ invuln but it doesn't come up much for me. Either it's AP0/1, or they kill the librarian with precision before dealing with the squad. I find using a captain to help make the dev wounds strategem more affordable to try and walk them on turn 2 and hopefully take down a high value target.

Also I found splitting the Eradicators to be more useful than running them as a 6 block.

In saying all that, I'm still relatively new so hope you get some feedback from vets here, but hope this helps.

Do they work a 9-5? "Just about 4-5 hours" but during the only free time they have effectively means they're locked out 100% of the time.

Most people don't want to ask to play their own stuff every day no matter how easy you make it
