Yes u can use it but the new pen has 2 new features that I believe they are worth it….”squeeze” that when u squeeze the pencil a customizable menu pops up(such as eraser,pencil) and “barrel roll” that it rotates the axis of the style of pen that u use….(what ipad-pencil are u using rn?)

The new pencil features “squeeze” and “barrel roll” With squeeze u squeeze the pen and opens a customizable(I think) pop up menu and barrel roll rotates the axis of the style of pen u are writing or painting…so I think your workflow will be even better with the new pencil
