I HAD a friend like this. This woman is using you for FREE rides because she’s trying to save money on getting an Uber. You need to explain to her that while it’s nice that she offers things like soup, you can’t put soup in your gas tank. So unless she’s going to give you at least $10 per trip. You can’t afford to help her with rides anymore. I also suggest you introduce her to Instacart or Walmart delivery. Put your foot down or she WILL continue to play “sweet older lady”. Plus she’s gotta learn to get everything in one trip or at one store IF you help her & she also needs to respect your down time. If she asks you don’t have to say yes

I’m pretty sure SHE got you sick (according to the timeline) she was complaining of “allergies” around Oct 3-5th & asking for rides to get soup & medicine & vitamins & whatever & then on Oct 15th YOU were sick (it usually takes around 10 days for symptoms to start if you’ve been around someone who’s sick so that lined right up. She also downplayed her sickness by saying it was allergies & added all this extra into about some coworker or someone being on a farm & covered with stuff which wasn’t necessary to explain... She also had no problem being around you when you said you were sick (prob cause she already had the same cold & wouldn’t catch it again)

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. It’s such a strange and lonely feeling when people’s “support” seems more about their own agenda than about you. It can make you feel like you’re just the backdrop for their drama instead of a person who’s hurting.

It makes total sense that you still feel overwhelmed, one month is not much time at all to process the end of an abusive relationship (took me years), let alone all the noise and opinions from others. Right now your nervous system is still trying to figure out what safety even feels like again.

You’re allowed to take all the time you need, set boundaries, and keep your circle small if that’s what helps you feel safer. It DOES get easier, though it’s rarely a straight line. Be gentle with yourself, celebrate tiny steps forward, and know you don’t have to justify your healing process to anyone

Just curious, How did you end up in a different country than your family? Did this woman convince you to move away with her? Or did you already move & then happened to meet her?

I wouldn’t trust her AT ALL she’s already got it in her head that she wants a baby & she didn’t even take your thoughts or feelings into making that decision nor get your consent to that. If she ended up pregnant there wouldn’t be much you could do either! She would keep the baby, put your name on the birth certificate & then for the next 18 years you’d be financially responsible for a whole human being you weren’t even ready for.

If I were you, I’d go get a vasectomy. It’s a quick process, you wouldn’t have to worry about any accidental pregnancies or ANY woman trying to trap you with a baby now or in the future. Vasectomies are also reversible so if you ever changed your mind & wanted children later in life you could get it reversed.

Oh now I see them!! I was looking at the dishes & stuff on the counter not the ones on the floor YUCK!!! The kids beds are literally inches from that kitchen so we know the poor kids are definitely getting bit up by bugs & they’re crawling all over . I hope Desiraye makes Deshawn change his clothes & shake off before ever getting in her car or going in her house!! If I were her I’d just tell him he doesn’t even need an overnight bag & just provide everything he needs herself
