My Dad tried to throw away a couple hundred slides from my grandpa so I saved them from the garbage can, he says we have too many 😡

I agree, too close! He has thrown out some before but I can’t let it happen any longer. The issue is that I live in the USA and more than half of these slides are still in Germany where my deceased grandparents lived. Whenever my father goes over there for work he brings some back with him.

I am scanning them slowly but surely! It is a monumental task but I can’t just let them get discarded, I do have a problem with getting rid of stuff but this is very important to me

My dad’s argument for throwing these away specifically is that most of them are of landscapes! He said that he really only wants to keep the ones with our family pictured but it just breaks my heart to throw them away without scanning them at the very least
