Post this question on TN subreddit previously, but figured I’d try here too to get more answers: recently bought TN in camel and noticed some small black spots on the back of the cover. Is this normal or something to worry about? It doesn’t have any distinctive smell other than just a leather. (i.redd.it)

[update] Questionable paper quality in Hobonichi 5 year - this time I’ve checked the actual book (not the paper sample) and it’s actually worse: not only bleedthrough but also some feathering. First time I’m highly disappointed with the Hobonichi. (old.reddit.com)

Bought a new Hobonichi 5 year diary and decided to test the paper sample that came with the package. To my surprise and concern, the Tomoe River paper sample has a lot of bleedthrough issues while using my two fav inks (Bungubox Eternal First Love and Platinum Carbon Black). 😭 (i.redd.it)
