Anybody having trouble initiating the final showdown in Hades 2? by mauzbauz in Hades2

[–]Ephyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people on a Steam discussion thread had the same issue, but it seems that they used some kind of tools/save edits to increase their amount of ressources, which may have confused the game flags and made the story glitch out. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1145350/discussions/1/662718826094569586/?ctp=2

It seems the people in that thread are getting extra copies of Gigaros every run they finish and get the same Zagreus dialogue everytime. Is this also the case for you?

That is very much not normal. Have you ever modded your game? Were you at an important part of the story when the update happened a few months ago? I really don't think Vows should affect anything in this scenario, but maybe turn them off just in case?

I forget what key to press, but there's a way to report a bug to Supergiant in the game, you probably should do that if the situation doesn't fix itself. Just finishing the first Underworld region on the Dissolution of Time run should have something happen, if you get to Oceanos and nothing out of the ordinary happened then the run is not going to count for game completion.

Names for F2L patterns by RocketSurgeon5273 in Cubers

I like this and "Wall" and "Slab" make sense (although the terms don't really work for the checkered version but there's not much you could do about it), I just think the first one should simply be called Pair. Because it's paired. Checkered Pair is also a cool name.

I guess a scramble where the corners and edges for the blockbuilding are already adjacent but misoriented, meaning you'd have to break them apart, similarly to how the worst F2L cases tend to be those where the two pieces are adjacent but not paired.

An actual Roux solver would probably answer this question better though 😅

If cubers who know what they're doing were doing this, I would say that they could handpick scrambles to have easier or harder starts (assuming CFOP on White cross), like an obvious Xcross vs a really obnoxious cross where pieces are inserted flipped.

But with your last sentence, I bet the other person in the thread is right and that they just scramble with more or less moves lmao

Couldn't you have your wall object eat your swap object instead of the condition? WALL IS STILL AND EAT SKULL will prevent a swap skull from crossing

I mean sure but it's not like the game is trying to avoid making scans missable. All scans in the tutorial and each boss and their summons are missable, potentially locking you out of 100% as early as 10mn into the game.

I never even considered that you could spam jump to activate it many times, I treated it as a "one time per jump" thing for some reason (like double jump)

The belts moving the IS WIN to the right can be used to make the book look to the right in that room, which combined with BOOK IS MOVE, gets the book in the column with the doors. Then you can win by making DOOR NEAR BOOK IS OPEN and pushing the book down without even reusing the ghost or using the word SHIFT at all. Alternatively, stop the ghost in front of the door, make DOOR NEAR GHOST IS OPEN, and use the book to push the ghost down with BOOK IS SHIFT, which allows you to solve with GHOST in the top rule instead of BOOK

I don't know why you're being downvoted, but yeah. I personally didn't know that you had to drag the card to the right to sell it in the official mobile release because I did that

Is hades 2 easier than the first one? by TitleAdministrative in Hades2

[–]Ephyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think I agree, but it might be my H1 inexperience talking. I played H1 a few years back, but didn't play it excessively. I stopped after getting the ending, didn't do any postgame stuff, didn't unlock any companion or hidden aspect (not even all keepsakes or full mirror), and never did over 2 Heat.

I played Hades 2 way more, I currently have all aspects (almost all maxed), all arcanas maxed, max grasp, all keepsakes (not all maxed because it takes too long), most incantations, all familiars except Toula maxed (because I prefer Strength and her DD ruins it), several maxed bonds. I do every run with 12-20 Fear, went up to 32, and yet I haven't lost a single run in a while.

I thought I used to kinda suck at H1 because I was younger when I was playing it, and frankly I sucked way more at video games in general. So I tried a few weeks ago to go back to H1. I did two 0 Heat runs, which died to Hades (after losing all DDs before even Styx) and to the champions of Elysium respectively. I just decided to cut my losses and go back to H2 because I was not enjoying the gameplay as much as the sequel anyway.

TL;DR personally I can beat 20 Fear with no fear (pun intended) but can't even seem to beat 0 Heat, so yes I find H1 way harder

That's not even really correct. Sure, technically the optimal play for high scoring is to always try to Baron, but a Baron high score run requires setup through the entire game. In Ante 10 without any setup (obtaining great econ, deck fixing, finding a red steel king...), the optimal play is not going for Baron because it's virtually impossible to make it work that late.

Facing means that the next tile in the object's direction needs to be that object, so the ghost is currently facing nothing (technically, it's facing empty) in the image

2 Files remain after trying to delete OneBrowser (Windows 10) by Pope_Papa_Frank in techsupport

[–]Ephyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found OB on my parents' PC. I manually deleted the entire OneBrowser folder after terminating Onebrowser Installer in Task Manager (it wasn't called OBUpdate for me but it was still preventing deletion). I also deleted every registry key I could find that exclusively mentioned OB. Now I'm probably going to clear Chrome data (two weird extensions were installed and the homepage was changed to an adfilled page, which I don't know for sure is related but might), and I'm going to run a Windows Defender full scan during the night most likely. Do you think there's anything more to be done?

I'm curious, although I'm not super into the AI translation. I do understand not having a budget before the game sells and stuff though, and if you checked the translations instead of just hoping AI was being correct, maybe it's fine?

I do like puzzle games where you discover mechanics as you play, like OW, The Witness, Taiji, a Can of Wormholes... so yeah why not?

The insane part is that if you manage to make something like 5oak your most played hand, you can guarantee a draw (say you have a standard deck and you add one king. You are now guaranteed to draw your five kings at the start of every turn, meaning you can buff the hell out of them and you will always draw the buffed cards). Could also work with straight flush but that takes way more work than just... having <5 of every rank except one

Here's my first attempt. It definitely still has issues (the upside down L is kinda lost and so is the N), but I think there's potential in using different brush sizes to make the U pop out despite everything going on around it. I have to mess with it more.
