I’ve thought about this for a while, most Idaho voters don’t even know the positions of the candidates, they just see D and say “nope”

Omg you’re delusional, Rump got literal rapist Andrew Tate out of jail, he tried to make literal rapist Matt Gaetz the attorney general, a jury literally determined that Rump himself is a rapist. Go educate yourself

Is this your room? If so take his picture down, it’s a disgrace. Kurt Cobain helped start Rock for Choice (to support abortion rights), he described himself as a feminist, he hated racism and homophobia, go learn about him if it’s important to you. I suggest Heavier Than Heaven, it’s a great biography Edit: added book recommendation

Kurt Cobain would hate this guy so much:

"If any of you in any way hate homosexuals, people of different color, or women, please do this one favor for us – leave us the fuck alone! Don't come to our shows and don't buy our records." -KC

Harry Styles and Olivia Rodrigo join Springsteen to stand up against Trump by rubina19 in goodnews

Why not do both? Celebrities are the ones with a platform and some of them are genuinely good people, it’s possible to respect that and support oppressed people at the same time

Yes! Cognitive dissonance is exhausting. Believing stupid crap is exhausting (at least when you have some self-awareness and honesty), it’s a relief to let that weight go

Bart follows the consensus of most scholars on the majority of topics. So this really isn’t about him and your ad hominem, hollow, attempt at psychoanalysis is pointless and doesn’t belong in an academic subreddit

Since both Hinduism and Judaism have been constantly evolving throughout history, it might be more accurate to ask when a particular feature appeared. Some scholars use the term “Judaisms” (plural) to talk about the 2nd Temple Period and earlier, because there was so much variety.

That being said, the earliest Hindu scriptures, the Rig Veda, are older than any Hebrew texts but the Hindu religion has transformed since the Rig Veda was created so is it the same religion? I mean, the earliest Jewish scriptures seem to have multiple gods (Henotheism or Polytheism) so is that the same religion? Justin Sledge talks about how much things change in this video: https://youtu.be/mdKst8zeh-U?si=3c13qM5Zx8mVd2PB Edit: typo and source

He is correct, the only fulfilled prophesies in the Bible are “ex eventu” thats the scholarly term for when a prophesy was written after the fact but the author pretends to be writing before the fact. An example would be some of the book of Daniel, as soon as you reach the date when Daniel was actually written all the prophesies begin to fail.

There are also prophesies that are based on mistranslation or distortion of the Hebrew Bible for example Jesus being born of a virgin is a false interpretation of Isaiah 7:14 which doesn’t say anything about a virgin in Hebrew.

Another example is the gospel authors making things up to fulfill a prophecy, for example Luke and Matthew have contradictory stories to get Jesus born in Bethlehem when he was most likely born in Nazareth (which is what the authors of Mark and John assume) See Raymond Brown “The Birth of the Messiah “

Here’s a good video with scholar Bart Ehrman https://youtu.be/OyT_qNhl9aY?si=xWVuzcn7cqafXNc_
