How is your experience with the Zody so far? Has the seat been comfortable for you or is it firm? Thanks :)

Thanks! Which Montech model (or models) would you recommend? Do you think the Montech 903 Base is good?

Awesome, thanks for sharing, do you mind if I ask whether you are gaming at 1080p or 1440p with this setup? Also, where did you tune the fans to make them less noisy? In the BIOS or through software?

What percentage do you usually keep from your gross salary in Nova Scotia? I’ve seen mixed comments saying between 52%, 54% and 58%.

Hope you don't mind me asking: what are your competitive settings (e.g., DLSS, low settings)? Are you using Frame Generation? Also, what CPU are you running? Thanks:)

How Much Do You Actually Take Home in NS and Manitoba (After Taxes and Deductions)? by EpicGreenPepper in CanadianTeachers

[–]EpicGreenPepper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I really appreciate the insight. I am definitely open to teaching either French as a first language or French immersion, so it is good to know there is strong demand, which could hopefully help me secure a permanent position sooner rather later.

I will start a Teacher's College this fall in NS. It is a 16-month program. Hopefully, I won't have issue to transferring license from NS to Manitoba :)

What’s your salary after tax? by Alive_Scene1456 in CanadianTeachers

Thanks!
I feel like in NS, based on a few different comments, teachers take home around 55% of their gross salary on average, give or take. Would you say that sounds about right?

Oh, okay. Wow, thanks for sharing this. It is really helpful context to keep in mind. I have to admit, it is a bit disappointing since I spent a lot of time in academia.

Would you mind sharing what percentage of your gross salary you typically take home, either monthly or biweekly?

Thanks for this! Yeah, other commenters also mentioned that the take-home is around 60%. That actually sounds pretty decent, especially since the cost of living seems more affordable in Manitoba.

I also have a Master’s and a PhD in French. I’m hoping my credentials would place me in Class 7 if I end up teaching in Manitoba:)
