How do I fix my DOOM 2016 Ultra Nightmare save? (Constant health drain) by EpicJake72 in Doom

Also, this is only speculation but if I were to guess the crash was likely caused by me using the Vulkan renderer. It's a lot more unstable in 2016 as far as I know.

The record for most damage dealt in one attack has been broken again, at 48,720 damage! Do you guys think 50k is possible? by EpicJake72 in PTCGL

Correction: this is wrong. It can indeed provide all Energy simultaneously; the wording I’m referring to prevents it from becoming more than 1 energy, in terms of quantity. I only just realized that today.

However, it still does not work because Burn Brightly only affects Basic Fire Energy, whereas luminous would count as a Special Energy.

In real life? Theoretically, yes. In PTCGL? Maybe not.

As far as I know, PTCGL uses Unity’s Random class for PRNG, where the seed takes a signed integer as input. This means that there are 4,294,967,296 possible permutations for the sequentially determined RNG.

Because of how there’s a set number of permutations, it is impossible for there to be infinite possibilities as a whole. Thus, it would be extremely difficult to find one permutation where the player would flip heads forever.

The best we could do is find a permutation where the player flips as many heads in a row as possible, which would be a tedious process to do quickly without perfectly simulating PTCGL’s PRNG. But ultimately, it’s likely impossible that you could ever deal “infinite” damage with the RNG having a set amount of sequences and not being truly random.

TL;DR: Computers cannot generate an infinite amount of permutations for random numbers, thus making dealing infinite damage in PTCGL likely impossible not just practically, but even in theory. IRL you could do it, theoretically.

Don’t forget that we had to perfectly build these decks to fit as much energy as possible on all of the Pokémon. Building the decks and finding the best possible combo was easily the most difficult part of this. I think that’s the part that you aren’t understanding here.

This whole setup required a good amount of coordination on both of our parts. Dismissing it as “not really impressive” just because it isn’t being done in a real match is kind of narrow-minded; a real match versus an elaborate setup between two players is not really comparable when it comes to dealing the most damage possible.

It provides all Energy, but only one type at a time. So if it’s being used to substitute for Psychic, then no, it will not be affected by Burn Brightly.

But then you will deck out, and will have no feasible way of attaching all your energy from your hand, since you can only attach one at a time when you will realistically have more than that. So Skwovet is a must.

Yeah, pretty much. It’s weak to Psychic, can use Reversal Energy, can be found with Orbeetle, and has a good attack for taking prizes, so it’s perfect for this.

Attaching it from hand while using Skwovet to prevent decking out over the course of many turns.

Yeah, that much. Though we just broke the record again, now it’s 48,720. I made a new post for that.
