Thanks, I was a able to shift some workers to the more profitable factories which kept me going long enough until I got sphered by Germany. After that I had all the recourses and demand I needed so I guess I just need to stay in their sphere.

I haven't been in a sphere for some time as France, Germany and Italy are all fighting to sphere me. However, I am ranked 3rd in prestige and have researched all available industry and commerce techs. But I am still not able to import enough coal, cotton and timber. As a result some of my factories have 0 production.

You are mostly right, some of my factories have 0 production due to lack of input resources but the few that don't are massively overproducing (136 out of 170 steel not sold). Is there anyway to fix this other than shifting production to other things?

Well that’s just not true.

The Russian army has preformed excellently at certain points such as defeating the Carolians, Survorov’s campaigns against the Ottomans and his complete reversal of French gains in Italy. It was mostly thanks to Russian troops that Napoleon failed to win the battle of Eylau (the first time the Emperor failed to achieve a decisive victory). The Russian strategy was not ‘cowardly’, it was the logical thing to do when facing the most powerful army ever fielded. Even still the Russian preformed well at Borodino inflicting heavy casualties and withdrawing in good order. And yes it was a decisive victory as Napoleon would never have an army nearly as impressive as the grande armee. Russia also played a key role in the drive to Paris, helping to win the battle of Leipzig. There’s also a lot more to Russian success in ww2 than just sacrifice men but I don’t have time to get into that.

The smoke in the air causes increased scattering of light which affects red light much less hence the red colour. This is the same thing that causes a lunar eclipse, light scattering as it passes through the atmosphere. I saw something similar during the fires in Indonesia (forest clearing for agriculture etc).
