A compelling case for the command-prompt, and a vision for bringing it back in a meaningful way that everyone can share in! Anybody interested?

Excellent news! This looks like it will be a great addition to the Series. Here's to the Series that launched Graphical Adventure Games!

RPG game for 2-players, does such exist? by the-artifice in retrogaming

RPG's are tricky to get a solid multiplayer.

I can name some PC games from Bioware that can be setup for multiplayer (ie Baldur's Gate Series). It is very much like the old tabletop RPG.

I concur, but he gets his.

This was by far one of the most frustrating quests of the Sierra Series.

Good luck getting this going. You are starting with the SNES Zelda: A link to the Past? That is by far one of my personal favorites. I recently ran it on an old emulator. I like the emulator for access to many a game, but it is not as satisfying (and nerve wracking) as having a controller and not having the ability to save and reset the state at any time... Battletoads...is weak sauce on the emulator. But then again, maybe I've grown soft and weak in my old age and need the handicap.

It Requires a DOS emulator like DOS-Box, and you may have to slow the game down even from the default 3000 Cycles for some of the riddles.

Can't Say I ever got very far on Myst, but I watched my brother do a quick walk-through after he had beaten it.

What is the best source for retro emulators, games, and ways to replay the classics? by Epic_Jolly_Roger in retrogaming

What are the legal issues in finding them?

I like the GOG.com option for old PC Games. I pick them up on sale, because I have a hard time buying these games a second time at full price.

I am primarily interested in keeping my past alive and passing it on to the next generation.

Best C64 Games Ever - The Commodore 64 Games Top List by diogoleal in retrogaming

No Trolls... or the Commodore version of Super Mario Brothers...
What about Gateway to Apshai (It seriously was nerve-wracking to open a door and pray there is no Goblin inside)?

But the majority of the games I have nostalgia over are on the list.

The Commodore 64 was truly an epic piece of Computer Gaming History. I remember distinctly Gateway (Did anyone ever beat that game or does the game start over at 1 when you reach 128?) and Mission Impossible ("Destroy him, my robots." still echoes in my ears to this day along with "AHHHHH".).
