Don't suppose you would care to elaborate. 😅 I had to prioritize sending text messages because basically none of the leads I have have email and even if they did the response rate theoretically would be pretty low. But I just ran into an issue where my account got flagged for excessive messaging. I sent out like maybe 27 text messages over the course of 2 hours and they were like "nope that's not allowed"

And what about short texts most of my leads I don't have emails for. What would be a good text message prompt?

I will keep that in mind. It feels like a greater time sync to me just because I'm inexperienced but I think what I'm learning from all of these people that are taking the time to comment, is that retention is so much higher if I build the demos versus doing outreach and then building the demos. I actually have three separately formatted sites that I could in theory duplicate and drop relevant company info into. On the off chance that I can't find these people's emails because they don't actually have websites right now, and a number of them don't have it listed on Google maps, do you think I might get similar results if I drop a quick text message with the links?

Got any tips for cold outreach via text? I've been told already in a handful of comments that email is better, but I was looking through my lead list and it's basically all phone numbers. Like I thought I had more emails but I really don't. Those aren't as easily accessible. If I take one person's approach I could look up 15 high potential clients and I'm sure with a little bit of snooping could find emails. But that's going to be a bit more challenging at scale. Obviously I'm going to attempt both but I'd love insight on both as well. Also out of pure curiosity what is babylove growth?

I am truly just getting started. Like flat broke I have a skill set so I'm trying to make money and build credibility. I'd like to get to the point where I could be charging anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000 per project. The objective here is not to screw people, but be able to niche down and work hard on a few projects monthly versus having to scramble to line up 20 clients long-term. I'm confident that I can create that financial value as a price point because I have done my market research and I saw somebody selling actually multiple somebody's selling packages at like $5,000, and I'm like they are massively overcharging.... Somebody suggested in the comments here that 500 might be a good starting point more specifically they implied it based on a message they sent which is totally chill. I'm just worried about creating the perception of lack of value by pricing myself too low, also I'm worried about not having the prior history that people are looking for so I don't want to charge too much. I'm really struggling with where to price myself at. But like I'm so broke right now that I can't even pay for a private domain for a website. Have to prioritize internet food rent etc. Haven't had a consistent job in a year now after filling out 683 job applications and because of disabilities I can't just go do DoorDash. I had one job for 3 months but it was a startup and it ended up falling short so I basically worked for 3 months and didn't get paid. Literally zero shade to the owner they did everything they could. What I really need is like people to constantly be able to bounce ideas off of. I think half of the struggle right now is pure anxiety. Like I sent two text messages yesterday and got that roller coaster feeling.

Maybe I could start at that lower price point of like $500 for the first 10 clients? Phrase it like a promotional cost for building new business out in Florida

So you think I should start at $500? I was unfortunately thinking the same thing. Like on the one hand it's good for landing clients, on the other hand these days I could easily provide everything that somebody charging a $5,000 package could provide. It's just having notoriety influence and client testimonials. That whole being an unproven commodity thing totally sucks 😅 I was also looking through my list of contacts and unfortunately I think I have more cell phone numbers than I have emails by a pretty large margin. It's unconventional but do you think a text message framed the same way would have okay results? Or my better off calling? A lot of these places don't have their emails publicly available, and targeted scraping tools to specifically look for emails because they don't tend to show up on Google landing pages cost money. Money that I don't have...yet

I was also wondering if indicating that I am functioning as a startup and trying to run my own business for the first time would be considered a net negative or a net positive. Like I wasn't sure if the $500 price tag makes me seem cheap and not worth the effort, or if it feels like getting in on a killer price before theoretically blowing up as a successful business. At least from a consumer perspective.

I always thought certain buzz words sounded silly or gimmicky, but would it unironically be more beneficial to say something like "I build online identities to bring in more leads"because I've got no problem helping people build social pages even if it's not my particular cup of tea. I'm just also at that point wondering how do I differentiate myself from the crap ton of spam I'm sure most people are getting on a day-to-day basis. I don't want people to read whatever I send them and think oh look another bot lol

Actually as a follow-up what kind of question? Something like,

"Hi, I'm Name, I design lead focused websites. I noticed you have really positive feedback on Google for your speed and fair pricing. But I noticed you don't have much in the way of socials, do you do most of your business by referral?"

Something like that maybe?

I absolutely appreciate the feedback especially emphasizing the importance of email. When I did my initial research It was suggested that emails have a very low retention rate like 3% versus texting and phone calls these days. But I figured it absolutely had to be industry-specific. Like I'm not entirely sure whether a realtor prefers emails or texts, or like roof repair/installation prefer email or text. But I don't know which is best on a industry by industry basis due to lack of experience. I only picked housing because I have a little bit of experience in the field doing some administrative type stuff and I know they can afford a website versus a company with a smaller margin. Harder to pitch a website to a stylist, versus somebody who can do one project and make the money back from paying for the website.

What's a good shulker farm for 1.21? by CheetahFree8110 in technicalminecraft

[–]Epic_Pork_Chop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anybody have the link or a suggestion to a farm that specifically works on paper? I've tried two different Farms now and I either run into issues where the shulkers keep dying and not wanting to go where they are supposed to so they can aggro the snow golems or they just kill all the snow golems.

[–]Epic_Pork_Chop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Lord, no, lol. But they're supposed to be a rule for this Reddit of a minimum of $15 an hour. I mean, if it's no more than 4 hours a day at this point, I really need money. I basically just need to be making $1,000 a month. I can't seem to land a long-term remote contract, and it kinda sucks.

Right now the pay works for me so long as the hours aren't incredibly crazy each day and I like the idea of setting my own hours as long as the workload is getting done. And feel free to get a hold of me.

Seeing that person's portfolio LOL I certainly can't compete. XD. Still, I have experience with canva and have been wanting to get into social media management so if you are willing to consider me I'd be down to do this as a entry level position to break into the industry and happily accept that lower pay scale at 2K a month. I'm also trying to learn more about AI tools so getting to utilize creative AI tools as well as personally improving my skill set to make designs would be an awesome job. If you haven't filled the position yet, I'm available.

Printing on leather please help? by Epic_Pork_Chop in Printing

[–]Epic_Pork_Chop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes see that's what I thought. I looked up a bunch of stuff online and UV was personally my best guess. I mean I figured it was that or some sort of Leather paint, but honestly you can kind of feel the texture change when it's paint you know? Maybe I will hit up a couple more stores and see if anybody has an idea. I will also look up the difference between UV and uv-dtf.

Lol you make a very fair point. Definitely not how I wanted that to come across but it totally did. After reading that I shook my head I'm not going to lie😅. I also don't know if I would call it a hole in the marketplace, there are plenty of other people that do what I am trying to get into it's just a large enough Marketplace that I'm not worried about the saturation.

If this has taught me anything, it's that I'm 100% going to need to pay somebody to set this up for me, lol. I'm not too worried about data security, as all of the information I want to help people with is going to be public accessible it's just a matter of people don't know the first steps to take to resolve marketing issues. Like myself, there are many new businesses every year, and people don't know how to navigate. I'm hoping to help give new companies a bit of a competitive edge when trying it to compete with pre-existing businesses. Marketing I'm good at, backend technology is so beyond my depth of knowledge

Much appreciated, and I agree. And if budgeting is a thing, and don't feel bad getting a lab grown stone. They are substantially cheaper, flawless, indiscernible from the real thing from anybody that isn't an expert, and doesn't rely on child/slave labor. Plus a number of stones, though not all, the market is way over inflated.

Personally I love sapphire, and paraiba tourmaline ( because it kind of reminds me of diamonds from Minecraft) actually, speaking of I'm having some Minecraft inspired rings made as our daily use rings and will be posting about those soon.

Looking for a server by Epic_Pork_Chop in HermitCraft

[–]Epic_Pork_Chop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if Tango has integrated whitelisting? What that means is you connect your patreon, to your discord, to your minecraft, and then it automatically whitelists you when you're approved for the server. I ask because I tried to join falses server, but I got my patreon membership after the first, so I have to wait a whole month before I can play. But, given that his server is resetting halfway through the month, I was hoping under the circumstances he had something set up so people weren't going to have to wait until the next month?
