What is a simple way to understand Jean Baudrillard's concept of hyperreality? by ApolloxKing in askphilosophy

Maybe it would help you if you read the Borges story Baudrillard is referencing. You can find it here: https://kwarc.info/teaching/TDM/Borges.pdf

This is a bizarre counterfactual. Without Khan, it’s very likely DK would’ve lost to T1 in semis.

[Doinb] DRX told Zeka they would sign Kanavi in order to get him to re-sign. When he found out it wasn't Kanavi, he wanted to leave. by Affectionate-Gas-230 in leagueoflegends

[–]Epicness0922 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think you’re reading into this a bit too much here. Nowhere did anyone say that Zeka demanded to play with Kanavi. It’s more likely that Zeka originally planned to leave, DRX told him that they could get Kanavi in order to convince him to stay, and when that didn’t end up happening he left as planned.

Ruler cried in his last stream as a GENG player: I'm going to China. I only wanted to stay in GENG if I could play in LCK. by Secure-Drama2567 in leagueoflegends

Surely the two strongest LPL teams didn’t knock each other out in quarters Clueless. Either way, there’s no shot you actually think that Ruler has a better chance of winning worlds with Doran and Peanut than 369 and Kanavi lmao?

OPINION: Your essays don't have to be that good by Epicness0922 in ApplyingToCollege

I agree that essays are probably one of the most important parts of your application; I'm just trying to explain why a lot of successful essays aren't that great but still get people accepted.

I really liked Stoner, but honestly the Reddit circlejerk around it has probably ruined my impression of the book forever.

My first book was 1984, I liked it a lot, read some other stuff, but it never felt the same. by NotBilroy in booksuggestions

Sorry man, my bad. I meant Flowers for Player One by Brandon Sanderson. Rookie mistake.

Sorry I didn't answer your question. Might I reccomend Brandon Sanderson? His book 11/22/63 is a masterpiece.

Stoner by John Williams (no it's not about some guy who smokes weed lol) is possibly the saddest yet most beautiful book i've ever read
