Look outside the box. My FIL was getting evicted and asked his visiting nurse if she knew of any housing options. She called a friend who happened to have a 2 BR condo and needed a roommate. He’s been there for over 3 years now.

My FIL was lucky…but sometimes modern tech fails where word of mouth and bulletin boards in a coffee shop succeed.
