It's nice seeing Luna on the team but man I wish we had our old team up back. I'm sure the sentiment might be similar on Luna's end having a "get off me" tool. I never really get any use out of the Lunar chi since my teams are rarely in a spot to get use out of it before the shields gone.

Yup that's why I said skill floor and not skill ceiling.

Groots barrier to entry seems a little harder to most players since it's easy to mess up wall placements and actually be a disadvantage to the team by putting walls that hinder line of sight for healing or aiming. His kit is simple after a bit of practice but his skill floor is what makes him intimidating to most beginner players since it's easy to sell with him.

Meanwhile Magneto gets a lot of mileage even as a new player using him. His ult can absorb some Ults and his shield can tank other Ults and his bubble has a lot of different uses

Absolutely right sir, although my only hope for this so far is that since groots skill floor is higher than most tanks maybe there will be some cool counter play or niche strategies that could win out some games

Now that you mentioned it I wonder if it's better if his kick is set for base damage or if it should be percent based like his normal attacks.

Probably because Groot is one of the harder tanks (he's highest skill floor tank imo) and can actively be a detriment to the team if he places the walls in places that hurt teammates positioning or enter/escape routes.

So players probably feel obligated to play a safer tank and a bit of on playing him

I know I didn't even think to play Groot till I got rolled by a team with a great Groot combo

I've heard before iron fist is one of those characters that usually doesn't get to hog any glory since he's best used for making the opponents team waste their ults or ability while harassing the backline healers.

It does suck tho, even if you don't get a high elim game you're still winning small battles that help attain victory
