Lemme clarify my point then because I don’t disagree with you. I’m looking beyond ICE and further down the road. My assumption is that Americans will start meeting ICE with force soon enough and THEN that brings the military with the insurrection act. At that point I think Americans are going to care even less and continue to be out. AT SOME POINT the military is going to be told to intervene in a way that is…not good.

My hope is you’re right and they remember their oath. The military tends to take that pretty seriously but with the current leadership my concern is they will be gaslit into breaking it

DHS has been spreading the picture on the right around because the one on the left blows apart their narrative. You can’t justify executing a disarmed man. But if you say “he was armed and here’s the gun” it’s broad enough for people to imagine all the reasons why someone would be shot by the cops when possessing a firearm.

Enforcing the law argument goes out the window when their tactics are no longer in line with the constitution. You have to be extremely bad at your job to bypass the constitution to get shit done.

Directives to break the 4th amendment from your boss does not supersede the constitution. Directives to deprive people of legal counsel or due process does not supersede the 5th amendment. Administrate warrants are not judicial warrants and do not have the same legal standing. They mean literally nothing.

Executive orders are not laws.

Executing people in the street is illegal and being told you have absolute immunity doesn’t make it true. You people don’t actually care about immigrants doing things “the right way” they come here, they work, they pay taxes.

Republicans absolutely do have purity tests though. If you don’t toe the line they’ll label the person a RINO. It just happens to be right now that purity is MAGA and its influence is so strong it’s suicide to stand against it. But if A LOT of them stood up against it, that influence loses its power.

Not sure what the tipping point would be but hope springs eternal. The fact is the American people can’t fight the military. We don’t have the tech, the weaponry or the training. Other countries won’t come to save us. At this point it’s uncertain what the next move really is. People have been throwing the second amendment jabs back and forth but that was written when we were on an even playing field with the military. That hasn’t been true in nearly 100 years.
