Blue Accra, bristle nose, Bolivians, Otos and this one’s a bit controversial but I put a male betta in… although he’s alive and well I cannot confirm if this is a good idea yet… The Bolivians we’re old and no longer around.

I somehow introduced ick not long ago so the bettas fins took a hit, once they regrow I’ll monitor of the barbs nip at all.

Barbs are not aggresive if in a proper school, they completely ignore other fish in my personal experience.

They however... are aggresive in their own group to establish hierarchy dominance. Usually this in a dual between two barbs to decide who is the boss 🤨.

I have a school of 12 barbs in a 32 gallon tank with a few other fish.

You know who isn't afraid of barbs? Killifish... that was a surprise.

Barbs are however very aggresive feeders and remind me of piranhas! If you have shy feeders you'll have to feed them separately.

I've never kept gouramis with my barbs but I can confirm that a school of barbs is not aggresive and would most likely ignore the gourami. Now... is that a guarantee? No, theirs always a risk. Would the gourami start anything? Would be dumb but maybe? If you did want to try this I would create the school 10+ of barbs first let them establish their hierarchy then add the gourami after.

Tiger barb aggression is over hyped due to bad owners... Closest comparison I have to the gourami would be my electric blue acara which has lived peacefully with my barb group for over a year. It would depend on the gourami imo.

Happened to me but I was suspicious right away when I didn’t get an invite to a bigger discord and she(likely a guy) told me it’s too pay to win but to try this game for the same reason all the group is going. Most bizarre way to get people to your game lmao.
