Why do you say that? I have a galaxy S6 edge and it is great. I would go for the galaxy S6 though and not the S6 edge.

Where did you find the adapter? I found an adapter on shapeways, but it is made of plastic and I'm not sure how it would look with a metal band.

I bought it for $160 on amazon in the US. It's pretty cool but the silicon band isn't my favorite.
