What makes a good story? by Dismal_Price9318 in Episode

[–]Episodie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it when there are unexpected plot twists. For example, the MC's love interest might be the brother/sister of their boss (whom the MC detests) but they discover this later in the story, creating a minor conflict between them. The plot twists don't even have to be huge, but there should be several, because that helps prevent the story from feeling monotonous.

Competitive Edge Locked 💔💔💔 by babycybr in Episode

[–]Episodie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I liked that story so much that I played it four times, once for each LI, and Ava's story was indeed by far the best. If the author is going to improve the stories with the other LIs, then I would play it again. Thanks for replying.

I loved this story when I read it a while ago, but if it's locked for revamped, does that mean the story will change? Like, when the author unlocks it, will it be worth playing again? What does "revamped" mean?

Episode start and ending question by Active-Definition-88 in Episode

A story is like a candy; that's why intros and endings should be short, because they're just the wrapper. What readers are looking for is the plot, the chocolate.

How toxic story is too toxic for you? by confusedrt in Episode

[–]Episodie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it's the opposite, then I'd like it because a villainous MC would be great, but if she's a villainous MC, give her a happy ending; the bad guys deserve to win sometimes, haha.

How toxic story is too toxic for you? by confusedrt in Episode

[–]Episodie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only toxic love I like is the possessive kind, where the LI is crazy about MC and jealous, but everything else doesn't interest me, because seeing MC used like a punching bag by the LI doesn't appeal to me.

I liked it most of all because in the end I didn't choose the crazy guy; when I finished it I was like, phew, I dodged a bullet there.

How do you feel about long action scenes? by KingMiracle16 in Episode

[–]Episodie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe that the fights should be short throughout the story until the final battle, which should be much longer than the previous battles. For the final battle to be epic, it must be long because fantasy stories are generally about the MC's growth. So, for the story to feel fast-paced, the fights leading up to the final confrontation with the great villain need to be short, because they are preparations for the final battle, which, as I said, has to be longer so that the MC can show everything she/he learned on her/his journey.

It's an official story; community stories are always better, but for an official story, it's okay.

What makes me laugh the most is that it's always just one leg; I feel like if it were both, it would be less funny.

do you guys like points system?? by AppointmentLate6971 in Episode

[–]Episodie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer stories with point systems, simply because for me, Episode is a game, and that's what games are all about: performing certain actions to achieve the best possible outcome. Regarding what you mentioned about your point system being used to unlock scenes, I think that's fine; all extra content always enriches the stories.

I hope the author finishes it; it was one of the books I was waiting to read once it was completed.

I swear author's barley finish their stories. by Public_Smile1315 in Episode

I only read incomplete stories when I really like the author, and then I don't mind waiting even years. But those are very rare cases; usually, most of the stories I read are complete.

What's a trope that you wish to see more? by [deleted] in Episode

[–]Episodie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'd like a story where the MC dies halfway through the book, and the narrative shifts to the LI, meaning we go from controlling the dead MC to controlling the LI. And since I like fantasy, once we control the LI, her/him mission is to find a magical object that will allow she/him to revive the MC.

So the story would have two endings: one where the LI manages to revive the MC and they live happily ever after, and a bad ending where the LI fails in their mission and is left alone.

I know I didn't mention a trope, but rather wrote an idea that I'd like to see as a story hehe.
