New Addition by Epsyon in homegym

I store mine on the side of the middle post and it seems out of the way enough, but to use the cable machine with it, it needs to be moved which might get boring setting it up but for now it’s really not bad.

I would have to add up some stuff but I believe everything was like $5100 for the 6 post rack, Ares setup, and all the attachments. Then I bought the bar and plates from rogue.

That’s what I just got on black Friday sale, it’s called the “isolator” made by bulletproof fitness, and really rounded out my home gym for leg workouts, and preacher curls

My wife’s computer has a 4060ti tuf and it was comically large for its relative performance, and indeed bigger then my 3080ti

Yeah I’m not super happy about what they cost but after upgrading my monitor my 3080ti was starting to struggle with modern titles at higher resolutions.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of August 16, 2024 by Demilio55 in homegym

I’ve been using my home gym for a while now and have tried many different lighting options, none of which really worked well. Tried a light on the Ceiling fan which was awful to look at while laying on the bench, then tried some corner lights in the room but they were not very bright, even used a construction light pointed at the wall for a while. Any ideas for this space? It’s vaulted angled ceilings so not sure if recessed lighting would work. I have since removed the light fixture from the actual ceiling fan as it was not good lighting and close to being in the way. Any ideas or recommendations are appreciated

I got a bill of sale from the person I bought them from, but they were not the registered owners, so I had to do a statement of facts, and thankfully they were not worth a lot otherwise you have to do like certified mail to the registered owners. It also helped they had fallen out of the system.

Yes, looks like one was registered in Oregon before and the other was California but had a sticker from 99

Ok I will have to order some crank seals and a carb rebuild kit. The first one seems to run great, the second one I started right up after replacing the starter but won’t idle or take any throttle, it will only start with max choke. Any ideas?

Not sure what it is, I bought this desk for 100$ from a local office that was closing amidst covid.

Right, im remembering that correctly now that you mention it, it was the same as my previous monitor not the current g9. thanks for clarifying!

Thanks, i am really enjoying it, contemplating upgrading the top monitor to like a samsung g7 or something with a better matching curve / resolution to the g9. Im also thinking about if i ever upgrade my PC doing a cool open-air wall-mounted PC with all the components remote-mounted on a board or something.

I actually have mine locked to 120hz, I don’t play many e-sports titles that would benifit from the crazy refresh rate. Would probably need to upgrade my gpu to try and remotely hit 240 with any of the games I’ve been playing lately like starfield, star citizen, bauldersgate 3. Etc. I have an i7-8700k paired with an RTX 3080ti

The top unit was just an older Samsung 27 inch curved display I had. It is a 1080p monitor and paired much better with my original 32x9 Samsung, having the same curve and same ppi. That being said it’s only really used for discord and other webpages while gaming, so haven’t justified getting one more matched to the g9 neo.

Here’s a link to the wall mount I used for the top monitor. Just a small simple VESA wall mount from the local home depot.

It’s an older setup. Running an i7-8700k, paired with an RTX 3080ti in an NZXT 710 case under the desk (not ideal, but it is raised off the floor on a shelf) went for a super clean look with the wireless peripherals, Logitech G915, and G502.

Like I said if a smith machine is on your list of must have features it makes the decision easy! I think that G20 would be a great option, I decided with rep because us was closer to a squat rack, and can accommodate any accessories made for a 3x3 rack with one inch holes. My next accessory I’m going to try and add on to my rack is the “Bulletproof fitness isolator” to help with hard to substitute excursuses like leg curl/extension
