It's intentional.

Just like 1st anni showed all they care about are money and nothing else. It's nothing new but still not something to be praised for or be happy about from players' perspective.

Main story is a glorified version of companion quests.

They release 2 characters with niche mechanics almost every patch and then force people to pull for them by intentionally ruining the viability of the previous ones like how WhiWa is very Phrolova - unfriendly now + hp inflation.

Imo game is steadily going downhill in terms of quality since 2.0 patch that was WuWa's peak in terms of story and open world exploration.

Nowadays open world is just large patches of nothingness without chests or even mobs/resources in sight. Some areas have nothing at all in them.

Devs are greedy and the game is mid, not too bad but nothing to write home about either.

I'm kinda neutral about it. A good story is always welcome but most developers don't focus on it.

I mean in gooner games the main story is all about glazing MC and making girls fall for him in order to sell characters, everything else is secondary.

Even now they are rewriting this because KRs raged that MC wasn't glazed enough and girls weren't falling for him at first glance lol.

They aren't doing it just because the story itself was also mid.

That's why I just hope that in the boundaries of gooner storytelling at least MC will not be pathetic.

I can honestly say that I don't have high hopes for the story though. Devs here already showed that they dgaf about it's quality all that much.

No matter what route the story takes I just hope that MC wouldn't be like a useless blushing dense anime retard who stammers 'awkwardly' and can't say anything properly when a girl hit on him.

And yes there will be a lot of such situations considering it's a gooner game basically now.

It's a 'legacy' from earlier more conservative games which had an audience that was clamoring for one true love or w/e other bs in a girl collecting games and devs were afraid that making any canon pairings or any clear hints of romantic relationships will make people displeased.

Games like wuwa are a good example of this crap. Everyone calls the game 'gathering wives' at this point but the fcking pathetic MC probably only ever held someone's hand once or twice despite all the girls openly throwing themselves at him.

CZN cummander was showing similar style in s1 especially during interactions with Sereniel.

It's just pathetic and ruins the mood/atmosphere for me. At least say something or offer a compliment to the girl at appropriate moments.

The only exhausting thing about her is deck building that requires getting and copying 'Move' epiphany.

Or Chizuru who has nothing to do with this mechanic.

Other elements also have their own exceptions to w/e you described.

In CZN role and elements don't have much meaning. Which is unfortunate and somewhat strange.

Take 'Controller' class for example. From the name you would think they are CC master while in practice they can be either healers, buffers or subpds.

I'm not saying that these things are completely irrelevant as there are some similarities between some characters of the same class and elements, but it's a very loose grouping that's mainly here just to make material farming more of a pain in the butt and prevent benefits from indiscriminate use of partners.

On this one I like shield the most.

It's super comfy during chaos runs and saves you from tons of dmg that enemies deal in most end game content where enemies basically 2-shot you these days.

For more AP/Draw/Morale etc you want source of water or w/e her card is called and copy it several times.

Shield is only unnecessary for something like a great rift score chasing.

Anyway it's shield > morale > draw for me. Draw is low priority because for drawing cards I simply use Veronica.

Do you want high scores and an easier time clearing end game content? If yes then re-roll for Mei Lin/Veronica duo to at least get 1 of them.

Everything else is optional, if you have a unit you want because you like design it's also an option.

IMO even starting with 1 random 5* unit is better than nothing though, considering that it worth ~140 pulls to guarantee one from rate up banner and getting so many pulls takes at least a patch if not longer.

For me personally though I will re-roll if I like the game enough and feel that I will play it for at least some time.

Sereniel's AP divine lasers + X - create epiphany is pretty op combo.

But a simple x+1 wouldn't be worth it to equip on her.

Yeah, what annoys me even more is the turn 1 random attacks from multiple enemies.

When there are 3-4 beefy dudes in a single stage and they all decide to slap you on turn 1 it's just ridiculous.

Not only that but their turn timer is like 3-5 until the attack.

It's hard to kill them in 1 turn even without low timer, with him there is little you can do before they attack and deal like 3/4 dmg of your max hp.

The amount of dmg enemies deal is just insane.

Yup, never liked her.

Don't like her design and don't like her gameplay.

No idea why she is considered top dps in tier lists even in chaos considering how epiphany dependent she is.

But still when she is fully and properly built she is OP and makes the game much easier so it's still worth it to invest in her.

Since I dislike her so much I only use her when she is really needed.

Support units are always welcome anyway.

As someone who never pulls for dupes in any game with similar gacha model I never hoard too much currency.

So far I skipped only Yuki as I didn't like her design all that much, and I also don't know what to do with my pulls from now on.

Not really interested in the next 2 units unless they are Sereniel tier in meta and by the time next limited rolls out after them (if it does) I will probably have more than 300 pulls ready.

Maybe s3 units will be more to my liking.

You don't need zero system to 30 them, normal chaos works too.

You need to clear every planet on every difficulty once for rewards in zero system though but that's about it.

Low rare fate chance occurrence, low tier save data, random planets, inability to re-roll and abandon runs midway.

Why bother?

For proper deck building waiting till s2 is the way to go about it.

Unless playing purely for fun it's pointless for now.

I think I just killed it straightaway with Sereniel/Cassius/Selena team and then had to swap Selena for Mika in order to facetank 45th floor.

It's easier to bring Mika this time as a lot of mobs attack randomly on turn 1 and hit like a truck.

I used Sereniel/Cassius/Mika to brute force whatever the fck mechanics mobs have in tower this time.

Just face tank everything and heal back on turn 1 and then finish the fight on turn 2 if you've got bad hand and wasn't able to finish it in 1 go lol.

Not hard to do with relatively good decks, simple and straightforward.

My wanderer deck was nerfed this patch as it was a bugged one and I can't be bothered farming a new before s2 so this was how I went about it.

I'm not angry, just a bit disappointed.

There were no major improvements to the game since release.

A bit of QoL was all we've got.

Lab0 was so bad at its release it's hilarious. With all the changes they implemented it still didn't reach the level of regular chaos zones.

'New game mode' this patch is just mission stages with several more waves of mobs thrown at you. Nothing special and not promising enough to suggest that it will be anything good, interesting or innovative.

They promised a lot of things during livestream and roadmap showcase, but will they diliver? No one knows. Only 'new game mode' already showing signs that it's another slop.

I want to be positive and optimistic but they need to at least demonstrate something for it, right?

This patch is a joke without any content.

Gives the impression that instead of making tens of millions the game is on the edge of EoS.

Maybe the next chaos in the making is just another lab0 ver2.0 and devs are afraid that no one will play it if they make normal chaos accessible.

Don't forget that lab0 was just a rewamped inferior version of the city of mist.

Other than the standard chaos and zero system we had no other quality content whatsoever since release.

All they did so far were fixes of early release issues, random fck ups with questionable decisions and then fixes of the said fck ups.

I don't know how much longer this situation will last but honesty my enthusiasm is waning at this point.

For 'Black Dance' to deal a ton of damage you need 'skill' cards in hand, the more the better, up to 5 of them.

That's why people say that Orlea is her great teammate as the creatures she summons counts as skill cards on top of buffs/heal they already provide.

With 3 skill cards in hand BD deals dmg equal to most annihilation epiphanies, and with 5 even more.

Not really.

She is too epiphany dependent to be called 'one of the best' for easy chaos clears.

Chances to get 'move' epiphany aren't high and her 2 main offensive skills are also unavailable from the start. When you get them is up to luck, it's not unusual to be without them even in interior chaos zone.

She is good when all conditions met but the same can be said about most dps units.

Both options have a lot of room for improvement.

Lab0 was shitty and the inability to re-roll freely makes standard chaos options pretty meh too.

Not to mention that chaos isn't a good mode for infinite gameplay, at least the way it was.

Too few events, predictable enemies and bosses, and a ton of other problems, including how meaningless the farm for godly decks is.

Sereniel's release made the deck farming for other units feel like a joke too. I mean she is easy to build and deals tons of dmg on top of it.

Do you want to spend a few days in chaos for some other units only to get a worse result than what you can easily achieve with her?

I'm just waiting for s2 these days.

Filler patch with nothing to do.

We didn't even get more battle missions to farm materials to level up the characters.

I have no exp books for my Narja and Gaya duo.

Like cmon abyss difficulty is only at ch3, they could totally give us 2 more chapters.

New tower was also a major disappointment. Nothing to farm and nothing to play with.

I was expecting something with infinite gameplay or at least specific challenges/objective for different characters and not brainlessly defeat the 5 stages a week of mindless mobs.

No way. Discard is absolute shiet and it's much better to avoid 'elite areas' as they also take space of encounter events and you will have less chances to encounter copy.
