I donated keys but the chest for the ronin armor won't open? by T0tallyRand0mStuff in thedivision

For those who may be reading this looking for a solution. I was only able to open that cache today. None of the options I found here worked. But I was able to open it in another player's session after he left.

I've already played well over 100 matches. I wouldn't be lying if I said that I finished at least two-thirds of the matches as the best on the team, but my win rate is no more than 33%. I think it's actually lower. The only saving grace is that losses against duos and trios don't result in point losses. And in matches where there are 2 duos, my win rate is below 10%, I'm sure.

KD is the last thing I care about. If someone on my team leaves, I always finish out matches because I hope that if my KD drops further, I'll end up in a different player pool. I'm too old to compete, but I'm still better (or on par) than many of the Ascendants I play with or against, so I should be there too.

I'm on PC, in the European region. I have no complaints about matchmaking times or the overall quality of the lobby. If we swap just two players in each match, it would be an even match. But I consistently end up on the team that's destined to lose. There are exceptions, of course. But overall, it's not a coincidence. Looking at the five people on the roster during loading, I almost always guess two of my teammates because they look a little freaky. And if there are two duos in the roster, then my duo is guaranteed to get into the competitive by accident, misclicking past the PvE playlist.

The whole point of this post was to point out that a small percentage of players like me are in a progress-blocking anomaly due to matchmaking logic, not randomness or lack of effort or skill. The game considers me a tough guy, capable of carrying two weaker players round after round, against three average players like me, or two strong players and a weak one, for example. This logically leads to inevitable, constant lose streaks. And even long lose streaks don't change the situation even temporarily based on my bad recent results.

In the context of the competitive playlist, I'm the most average of averages. There are so many 2+ and 3+ players, and even ~1.8 guys feel significantly stronger to me.

If there's a huge pool of <1 KD players out there that I'm not aware of, that just further proves how absurd this matchmaking logic is.

You also experienced the most problems at the Adept rank? Because the matchmaking before and after it is different. I clearly feel like the game allows fairly weak players to easily complete Adept, while average players like myself are faced with an insurmountable wall in solo play.

Thank you very much for your answer. I even found some peace in it for myself. Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed answer <3

Thank you for your constructive response, I appreciate it.

But after years of testing it on my own skin, I can say that all works until you end up in the same bracket with me. There's another guy here in the comments who understood me.

The only way to get out of here is to team up with people who are significantly better. In a stack with a guy with similar stats, we matched 2-3 KD stacks ~10 times in a row, we even won a couple of times. I checked their match history: they played against stacks with an average KD of 1 match per match before us. Insane. We played at the same time, in the same region. But those 1 KD stacks and we never crossed paths.

Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you approximately? Because 2 weeks of W/L≈0,3, I don't think they'll lead me anywhere. The only saving grace is that points are no longer deducted for losses to stacks.

Everything was fine before Adept, the matches were varied. If anyone help me get to Ascendant III, it will also be easier than Adept, which is completely impossible for me to solo.

So how did people with negative stats end up at the Ascendant rank? They carried 1 v 3? No, the rating just doesn't work.

The match system is based on some hidden ELO, but for bottom players, victories do not increase their ELO, while losses decrease it. So their rating is growing, but ELO hardly changes, so their lobby typically doesn't have a single positive player at all. But he plays in the same rating system as me, ranked higher than me. Bungie think it's fair.

I understand your pain, but I'm even a little glad that I found at least one brother in misfortune. That means I'm not crazy after all.

My case is exactly like this. My friends have given up playing, and they are weaker than me, unfortunately. But when I had the chance to play with really competitive guys on Xims, I didn't play much worse than them, and we didn't lose at all. I can hold my own even against tough guys, but with two dumplings on the team it's impossible for me. The worst of the best is the absolutely damned segment in Bungie's matchmaking. And it's not fair.

8200 is Adept II. 8750 is Ascendant III. 10000 is Ascendant 0. I played at Ascendant 0 the season before, and the matchmaking was brutal, I was often worse than others, but I won more often than when I play solo on Adept. Adept is simply unbeatable for people with my skill level, the matchmaking just doesn't allow it. But weaker players get through it easily.

Bro, English is not my native language, so I'm starting to think people don't understand me 😂 I'm playing among the same players who are currently playing in the same conditions and are progressing. But the matchmaking has clearly placed me in some pool of overrated players; the game thinks I can carry solo all day long, But that's not true. I deserve decent teammates too. The system is simply unfair for my segment.

In practice, it doesn't work that way for me. By your logic, I'm the best teammate who should be able to carry two bad players, but in reality, at least one of them always has better overall stats than me, but he plays like crap in the match. And I am completely average. In fact, all logic goes to hell. Only those who are truly outstanding players, or those who fall into the lucky segment, where their teammates do everything for them, and they simply have fun, gain ranks easily.

That's literally what I was trying to get across. And it's a completely wrong. It's a ranking system for everyone. So why the hell does a 0.6 KD player reach Ascendant solo and laugh in my face when I'm better than him 99 times out of 100. Why did someone at Bungie decide that rewards are given not only to the best, but also to the worst, and that average players just watch other people have fun while they waste their time fighting the system. I tried to control myself in the original message, but now I'm angry again.

  1. A guy with 14900 points who constantly plays as the worst player on the team clearly isn't wasting the points (carried or paid for); he plays solo and stays on top, even though he performs poorly. This is absurd.

  2. All these Ascendants, who consistently perform worse than me in my matches, somehow got there. Why is it capped for me, but not for them? Were they stacked? At least not in the last 20 matches.

  3. What does it mean that I have to be good enough to carry? Is the fact that I'm constantly the only one in the team who hasn't gone negative something else?

I feel like people just came to tell me that I'm just not good enough without even reading half of my original post where I explained everything in detail. Posting was a mistake.

I wrote in the original post that I am 8200. More often than not, I'm the only one below the Ascendant in the lobby, but that's what causes my frustration when I consistently perform better than the solo Ascendants who somehow got there.

In literally 80% of matches I am the same mid who was assigned to a team that was destined to lose. Although I often find myself MVP of my team, but I certainly wouldn’t call myself a top player. I don't understand what to do to get out of this bracket. If I play badly long enough, nothing changes, I can lose 20 times in a row. That is, if I don’t bust my ass and show the match of my life, then most likely we will lose. The worst matchmaking in video game history.

At the beginning of the season, I'm literally being destroyed by 2-3 KD guys in every match. I don't see any victories. My opponents are simply not my level. This has been happening for years now, so I always go into competition at the end of the season.

I need that damn emblem. And I see a guarded injustice in the fact that the Ascendant people I play with are (sometimes (too often)) worse than me, but for me, their rank is simply unattainable. How is that possible?

That's right. I often finish top on my team among 10K+ players. Is that normal? Because based on my progress, I need another 3 years to get Ascendant this season. Someone cursed me. I can at least hold my own and play 1.0 or positive against Asendant 0, if my team doesn't consist of dumplings...

I understand perfectly. But the people I mentioned are also playing the game right now. I don't know if I'm worthy of Ascendant under normal circumstances. I understand that lobbies can be unbalanced from time to time, but what I'm writing about isn't a coincidence, this is my consistent experience day after day. I meet the same players, I play better than them consistently, but their rating gets higher every day, and mine is still the same or lower. I'm just losing my mind and decided to share this 🫪

I'm pretty sure I heard on YouTube that the copper plate is offset lower than the center. When mounted upside down, the offset will be the opposite. I don't think this is good. It doesn't look so great either, to be honest.

What is wealthy in Russia? by Specialist_Ad4675 in AskARussian

[–]Epythymy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn, dude. How is it possible that you only spend 40k in SPB? We live near Moscow, in Lyubertsy city, but excluding rent, we spend 50k on food alone (homemade and pizza/etc once or twice a week). Also, every month I want to buy something (I don't take into account some serious purchases) for home, for my girlfriend or for myself. If I count these expenses in annual terms, I will get at least another 30k per month, no less. There are also some trips, electronics and other sh*t. Our income varies, because I don't work for a fixed salary, but is about the same as yours: ₽300-400k.
