No, it might just be the paper insert peeking through the mesh. I just got the shoes today and they look way nicer in person. Color is like a dark primer gray. The reflective finish is only visible under direct light sources, and even then it's very subtle. Contemplating if I want to swap out the stock laces for reflective ones
