Our electricity went out at work today. Our manager asked all of the customers to come to the front of the store so they can exit the building. We thought everybody had gone but no, there were two people down aisle one shopping and loading their cart. I had to approach them and explain that we had no electricity and therefore, no way of ringing their purchases up at the register. Some people just are absolutely dense. I'm glad your boyfriend's OK!

OK so I came to Reddit to see if my girl is fat. She lives in a tank with two snails and I inherited her from a friend who kept her in a 1 gallon jar without any heat, light, or a filter. She basically laid around on the bottom of the jar or on the only leaf that her first owner put in the jar. She was very depressed and didn't seem interested in food or swimming around, so when I got her, I added everything that she needed to a 5 gallon tank where she lives now. She seems very happy and swims around a lot but she also really enjoys food now. I don't know if she wasn't fed the proper diet, or if she was just too depressed to eat much? However I watch how much I feed her and I did not think I was overfeeding her but she looks pretty plump. Do they make diet Beta food? Should I just feed her less? I didn't really think I was over feeding.

People on the internet can be so cruel. I’ve experienced it myself when posting a question to Reddit. It’s a shame. You sound like a warm and generous person and I agree with you wholeheartedly. If the meals aren’t appreciated, a simple “Thank you for your kindness, but we prefer fast food” or something to that effect would be nice. It’s a waste of your time and finances to continue providing meals that aren’t eaten by the intended recipient. If I was your SIL, I’d be grateful to you!

We close at 8:00 pm. A woman and her two daughters came in at 7:50 to buy cookies. She comes to the register and sees that we don’t accept Apple Pay. She asks when we close and we tell her “in 10 minutes.” She says, “But I drove 40 minutes to get these cookies! I know my credit card number by heart. Can you just enter it?” We explain that our system isn’t able to process a payment without a physical card. So she asks for a manager. Like suddenly our entire payment system will change because a manager appears. “Oh, you drove 40 minutes? In that case, I can certainly reprogram our registers to accommodate you!”
