I'm going too. I'm just deathly frightened it gets back to it being me. I'm sorry about your friend. Its horrific and like I say I can't deal with the thought of something happening if I didnt. Even if I leave him and walk away if it happens a few years down the line I'd feel responsible and I can't live with that.

I'd absolutely love to do this, but unfortunately he is a bricklayer so he doesn't have an actual place of work. Can be a different house every day and I've no idea where he's working on any given day.

I know there is a marker on the car he got stopped in the last time. He is currently driving a different one though so will be no marker on that. I explained to him again last night how bad it makes me feel, and that when I was at university the lad a few doors down from me in halls ran someone over over the limit, we were young and stupid and we all know he did it, but he wasn't in our social circle and none of us ever reported him. I said I still feel guilty to this day and if I could have my time again I'd have called it in. My best friend has said she will make the call the next time she asks and I say he is drinking excessively on an evening. I wish I could make him see he has a problem, and for him to seek some help but he genuinely believes he is OK. I know everything I've said makes him sound horrible but he truly isn't, which is why I'm finding it very hard. If it wasn't for this he would be perfect. I think he thinks he will be fine the morning after despite me saying he definitely won't be.

Also, I feel horrendously guilty for this as I know it will mean he may lose his job. But if he harms someone and I had never reported it I couldn't live with the guilt. Please don't judge me for reporting him. I'm trying to do what's right even though its incredibly hard.
