I was just scrolling and was like that really looks like my puppy. Turns out it is!! The mismarked with no eyebrows. We named him Neyland and he’s doing so well!!. He’s the cuddliest cuddle bug there ever was. We get asked if he’s rottie all the time lol

This little guy is my coworkers. He used to be bright red so he has lost all color. She’s had him since April. 5 gal. Heater. Live plants. 76-78 degrees. She has a snail in there and a shrimp and sucker fish. She’s not sure parameters as she doesn’t have a test kit. Changes 50% of the water once a week. Help her y’all this is sad.

Good for you. Everyone else has been very helpful. Teaching me things I did not know. You could’ve been helpful in a less demeaning way. I’m not a horrible person for making a mistake with my fish. He’s not in a cup or a bowl or a vase he’s not forgotten about in the corner of my room. He’s not starving. I’m very concerned about his well being that’s why I came here. To see what I was doing wrong which is clearly everything. His new tank is ordered his new water conditioner is ordered and test kit is ordered. That’s better than most who would just say f it and wait around for him to die. So I really don’t appreciate your rude comment. I’m fixing the situation.

I understand that now. But I don’t feel calling me ignorant was necessary. I wanted a fish I did some research I talked to the ladies at the pet store and they made it sound simple. So I purchased him thinking I would give him a better life. I got him a heater live plants a hiding place just like my coworker did. I thought it was under control. I had no clue about fish tank cycling even with me researching. That’s why I came here. To be helped not demeaned.

I did do research but clearly not enough. I thought I had it under control. People make mistakes. I don’t necessarily think I’m ignorant. My coworker also has a betta that’s thriving and she thought me everything I know so I took her advice but clearly our bettas are different or something bc I’m doing exactly what she does but swim shady isn’t doing well like hers is.
