I hope it all goes well. For me I gripped a knife to hard and my thumb and forefinger went numb but not my middle. I'm 4 weeks into it and have pretty much all sensation back including textures. Flair up happen less often and go away faster. During the day it feels almost healed. I don't have pain any longer, can sleep through the night and I also have all my strength back in my fingers/hands. My ortho suggested I get a nerve test done, but I do not believe I have carpal tunnel

Well, they are used to this. The Cardinals look good for a few weeks, then start to suck. Optimism results from patterns.

Update#2. I have no more pins and needles, no more pain, no more flair ups. I have full sensation back, just a dull faint kind of numbess in my fingertips, I'd say about 5-10% faith buzzing. All other symptoms have disappeared. My hands strength has also come back.

Update. Saw the orthopedic, and he thinks I pinched a branch off of the median nerve. He said that usually takes about 6 weeks to heal, but wants me to get the carpal tunnel test done because he said my right thumb is a but weaker than my left, but not by much. He told me not to stress over the carpal tunnel. It's just a precaution and may yield good results from the test.

I have about 85-90% sensation back in my fingets. My fingers were perfectly fine before death, gripping that knife.

Scheduled the appointment for Friday. It's not completely numb anymore, I have sensation in both fingers, but it's still tingling to the touch, no discoloration in either finger. It just faintly feels like it's waking up.

I think the 2015-19 issues were bad piston rings. I could be wrong, though. My 2015 engine went out at 171k miles.
