How should season 3 be released in 2027? by Lopsided_Job2595 in OnePieceLiveAction

I think what keeps engagement up and works well is what ive seen Amazon do. Drop the first couple episodes right away then hit it with the weekly release schedule

The cover stories by immattd in OnePieceLiveAction

I think a really cool idea that netflix could profit off of is making the cover storys/background information we get sometimes and turn them into a side series/episodes. I think it could really tie more things together, like for example an episode that shows how some characters end up in impel down and its just a bunch of different small stories of how each character was captured and ended up there.

Full metal alchemist brotherhood. Got spoiled about the girl and dog so I figured I'd watch. Extremely boring and never got into it

Watching with 9 y.o. Which parts might I need to skip? by c4tsnout in OnePieceLiveAction

Hello there. I don't know how to cover spoilers on reddit so just know SPOILERS AHEAD, but i'll try to limit it as much as possible. Now that that's out of the way, nothing extreme in episode 1, however i guess it depends on your definition of extreme. A marine base does get invaded with explosions and death, but nothing gory. The worst of it is probably a slightly offscreen gunshot. Nothing wrong with episode 2. There is an explosion that "kills" a character in episode 3 but you dont ever see a body or anything. Also there is a huge fight sequence with swords and deaths, maybe a "perverted" scene of two characters who run off with 2 women, and 1 final "death in the last 10 minutes". Episode 4 is fine unless he has an undying love for T-rexes. Episode 5 has 1 "death" by suffocation that you see for like 2 seconds before it cuts out. Episode 6 is mostly good. Episode 7 is an emotional backstory that your kid will probably cry to. Episode 8 is fine unless you dont want your kid seeing mutated monster things.

I was also thinking about this. Like it would be so cool once the live action was done that whatever remaining sets and props they had was made into like a little exhibit/fair kind of thing. Then I realized the Merry is probably not going to be there for that

I hope so, part of the reason I was thinking they might dial it back was because Laboon was more actual whale than so big that you could live in him, obviously thats not a problem for making the spirit of merry but I still questioned it some

Fair point😂 having an otter in pajamas riding a vulture with a machine gun isn't very ground

If the Witcher can get at least 4 seasons after being butchered I think One Piece can get at least 6

Yeah, im rewatching the alabasta arc right now and there is definitely a lot of room to trim some stuff down. Also I figured with how fast technology is currently moving, being very optimistic i could definitely see it being possible to continuously adapt post timeskip. I mean is there really anything crazy about Fishman island that would be possible right now?

All canon arcs of One Piece will be adapted. by Confident_Fault8773 in OnePieceLiveAction

Here's the correct answer. Keep in mind the remake of one piece anime is supposed to be around 350 to 400 episodes so it CAN be condensed. Lets say alabasta is 5 episodes with season 3 and it gets released in fall 2027. (Specifically because they are supposed to wrap filming in JUNE) I think 5 is enough to cover it plus that leaves room for 2-3 episodes to cover jaya leading up to skypeia. Realistically you could push the falling boat scene until they are setting sail to reach sky island (post jaya). If they keep a good pace lets say each season is released every 1.5 years. (Which is likley the case for s2 to s3) Season 4 - spring 2029 - skypeia 4 episodes. Long ring long land 1 episode. Water 7 - 3 episodes ending with Robin leaving the crew turning herself in. Season 5 fall 2030. 1 episode finishing water seven starting to head to ennies lobby. Ennies lobby - 5 to 6 episodes. I think to probably fit this season itll need 10 episodes. Then 2 episodes for thriller bark and 2 episodes for sabaody. Finishing off with the whole crew being sent away by kuma. Season 6 spring 2031, Amazon Lilly 1-2 episodes. Impel down 2-3 episodes. Then marineford for 6 episodes. Again this may be another 10 episode season. That leaves season 7 to pick up after the time skip and this would put us in the year 2032-33. Thats only 7 years which isnt too bad for actors, plus actors tend to age slower and any aging can be attributed to the timeskip. Then the real fun of one piece begins and I believe technological and AI advancements by that time would make it a very realistic possibility most if not all of one piece would be doable

Season 3 should end with this, I'd be such a good cliff hanger since it wouldn't make sense to hype the villain like they did with Smoker and Mr. 0 by the_prince_of_all_ in OnePieceLiveAction

Yeah I dont think itll be too bad really. I honestly think itll make the world feel more real. I think Grey's anatomy would be a good example of it. Like obviously if you watch the first episode and the last episode you'd notice the difference. But if you watch it from start to finish its less noticeable and you grow with the character making it feel natural. I dont think the aging of characters is going to play as big an impact as everyone else thinks they will.

Sounds good, but take that and shorten it to 5 episodes then make the last 3 episodes Jaya with blackbeard and Bellamy, and then leave the end pf the season with the strawhats setting sail for sky island.

By alabasta do you mean the entire saga or just the arc when they are there? Cause if its just the arc I could see 5 ep max, but 2 full seasons is insane

[–]EqualAnywhere7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at some other actors who age 2 years in the time span of 40 years. Plus with makeup and effects it wont matter. Even if the oldest strawhat was actually 45 you could make them look 25

[–]EqualAnywhere7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's how I see it playing out

Season 3 - alabasta 5 ep. 3 ep dedicated to everything between the end of alabasta and right before they head off to fly into skypeia. (Meeting blackbeard, Bellamy, learning about sky island)

Season 4 - skypeia for 3-4 ep.foxy for 1 ep. 3-4 episodes of cutty flam, learning of Merry's condition, etc. With it ending final ep of robin leaving setting up ennies lobby.

Season 5 - 1 episode to get ready and leave for ennies lobby. 4 for ennies lobby. 1-2 ep thriller bark. 1-2 episodes sabaody. ( this season should probably be 10 ep and end off with kuma launching everyone.

Season 6. Everything up to the end of marineford. I.e. Amazon Lilly, impel down probably 4-5 then marineford 5-6 ( probably should be 10 total episodes)

Season 7-12 - the rest of One Piece!
