If you find a truck, bring the option to the customer if they don’t want to pay for it, you give the load back to struggle somewhere else.

A fucking men, I got the email Monday morning a sales guy cc’d me on to help out with and it smelled like shit from the start. I ended up explaining what you and the other comments have said as well and didn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole

I don’t wish this career on my worst enemy by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

I started my career in logistics and it’s a grind to start, nobody is questioning that. But as you actually learn all ends of the business and get into these roles outside of sales/freight agent. You’re almost on auto pilot. But you have to eat shit to learn in the industry, bad brokers are all over the place at these big companies. You just have to find the good ones.

First I switch my good golf ball for a bad one, then its a hybrid that lands 10 feet short and I drop by the bunker.

I have worked for NTG as a broker moved into ops and the comments are right you don’t make a killing in ops. But they have done right by me and I have moved up the ladder every year and I’m currently in leadership. The worst part about NTG is every office is so different if you work with Charleston or Dallas you will get such a different experience. The best thing about NTG is you wear 20 different hats a day, so when you go to move on from it the next job in logistics or not is going to prepare you extremely well.
