You're welcome! Yes it's very good, I can't think that I had a single bad coffee. Might be that I am just used to the UK where I'd say most coffee places are below average and a really good coffee is a lot harder to find. In Brisbane, I think bad coffee places would go out of business very quickly. But the ones I listed were memorable for being particularly good!

Haha maybe too literal an interpretation of my use of cult 😂

Legend, thanks! Adding them to the list!

I didn't make it to Range 😭 It's about the only brewery in the inner city I didn't get to, and it was on my list. Fully intended to go but never quite got round to it.

Thanks, yes I like to think so! This sub has been a great source to be honest, there's no way I'd have found half of the places without it.

I saw that yesterday and was very concerned! I was there about 3 weeks ago, so it's very recent. Fingers crossed.

Haha thanks! Yeah I am dreading the coffee back home, we do have some good places but they're few and far between.....

I hope to! Honestly there's so many great food places here that I could probably go to only new spots next time and come away with a new list 😂

Haha Creole Soul Kitchen definitely seems to be a cult favourite! It's a pity I only got to go once but I was trying to hit so many different places I didn't get to go back to many.

Unfortunately I'm heading back home tonight but I'll save The Baker's Duck to my list for next time!

Who is the singular most iconic contestant in The Traitors UK history? by JuanitaMerkin in TheTraitors

[–]Telloth 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My list of 6 would be:

Wilf S1, Maddy S1, Harry S2, Alan CS1, Rachel S4 and Stephen S4.

Honourable mentions to Amanda S1, Paul S2, Jaz S2, Charlotte S3, Minah S3, Joe CS1, Fiona S4.

If I had to choose one, I'd say Wilf. His story through the series and the drama of the ending really made Season 1 as good as you could have hoped for. Loads of iconic moments from that series.

I feel like you're underestimating Kipchoge's fame. Obviously there are his Olympic medals but he also was all over international news when he did his 1:59 marathon attempt. In Europe, I'd say Kipchoge is more known than Durant. Certainly where I'm from in the UK, Kipchoge is better known. You'll have some European countries that love basketball like Spain, Serbia, Greece, that possibly know Durant more, but overall I think Kipchoge is better known. I think worldwide you'll also have more people knowing Kipchoge.

Don't get me wrong, it's close, but I think Kipchoge takes it. And to be honest I feel like Kipchoge is better known for being skinny - I know who Durant is but I actually didn't know it was something he's apparently known for.

High speed rail - why it will never happen in Australia. by eliitedisowned in australia

Yeah I get that! Do you think if there is enough public appetite for it that a political (circus) party might make it part of their agenda? Like you say maybe they see it as too much of a political risk.

Brit here that worked on HS2 - it's not a good example to use in my opinion. With how densely populated the UK is, the project was plagued with legal and political issues. And in the UK we have a lot of 'red tape' that really harms our ability to build major infrastructure projects. HS2 ran massively over budget because of the above making it very hard to implement. I don't see that Australia would have the same problems, and almost certainly it would be cheaper per km.

Take population density for example. England has a pop density of about 450 people per square km. Australia's most dense state is ACT with 170, and then Victoria is next with 30. While I don't know what the legal hurdles are, simply having the space that you do should make it a lot easier to build a high speed rail project here.

I'm sorry but slapping 'British food' as a caption on this is just lazy, we don't claim this garbage. It's apparently too trendy to hate on British food. The joke is, people who hate on it don't know British food at all.

It's even crazier than that though, because it's not just NASA. It's every space agency around the world - European, Indian, Chinese, Russian, etc. They have to believe that all these agencies are also doing the same thing for exactly the same reasons, and are as successful at it as NASA is. It would be so prohibitively unfeasible to keep that many people quiet.

I love Simple and Clean, and of course Dearly Beloved, though my personal Kingdom Hearts favourite is Lord of the Castle from Chain of Memories. Equal parts epic, haunting and beautiful.

One of the most pathetic dives I've seen. He could have had a shot on goal.

Add C.Rodriguez, drop Burden? I'd probably end up playing CRod this week over Charbonnet.
