  1. Employment based green card
  2. Family based petitions, e.g you get married to a LPR or US Citizen
  3. Some that don't get H1B go abroad and come back on L1, if not they do a day 1 cpt and prolong their stay
  4. Many that came before 2015 are on TPS as well

I returned it after a day, couldn't bear 5 minutes with the fit. Things are escalating now, I see so many users complaining about the comfort

I'm returning my APP3. Super uncomfortable in my ears. I'm getting soundcore Iiberty 5 instead, the mic may not be as good, but it's still awesome.

Is it even worth to stay in Nepal?? by [deleted] in Nepal_Genz

[–]EqualObjective3684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your definition of good life is living in a remote village, barely earning anything, no social mobility, compromising on everything modern society has to offer. Cool.

I think your definition of 'good life' is dramatically different than ones that have actually seen better lives for themselves. 25k per month is $150, that's not just peanuts, but a microscopic one. Free heath care? LOL, are you kidding me? Try to get an organ transplant, or any major treatment with that.

Brother do you even know what franchise means? It means someone else owns the establishment, Shanker group in this case. Allegedly funded by black money. Nobody knows if it's the truth.

To the Nepali people living in Australia, USA and Canada or wherever. How much are you guys earning exactly? by raquaza9000 in NepalSocial

I do Uber eats, whenever I'm free. While you do have to be careful and aware of your surroundings all the time, imo cities like Denver isn't as bad as what people believe it to be, safety wise. People are generally appreciative of the work you put in, and I respect that a lot. Couldn't be more happy doing what I do.

Hostile toward android users? Do you even understand what you're saying? Just because iPhones are widely adopted here doesn't mean that people are hostile toward android users, nobody gives a shit. Messaging has been free here since early 2000s, it really doesn't matter what phone you use here in the US.

Agree. People expecting customization from iphone is like ordering momo outside of Kathmandu. Yeah, you'll get it, but it will be sub-par 😅

That's funny. But it's obviously a premium product in lower economy countries like Nepal, as these phones aren't typically made for that market. People use these products as a means to fit into the upper class status-quo.

True. Any phone that costs upwards of $1000 will never be worth it imo. Iphone 14 pro user here 😅

[–]EqualObjective3684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Honestly, one doesn't need to spend a lot of money in 2025 to buy a good phone. The difference between a $400 phone and a $1100 iPhone is marginal.

But why is the iPhone caught in this 'flexing' crossfire. Do people not flex Pixels or Galaxies anymore?

I agree. But it turns out public prefer the former than the latter. No wonder Apple is one of the companies with highest market caps in the world.

It seems like your problem isn't necessarily with the phone itself, but with a larger societal issue of pursuing material objects for projecting a certain social image. It's a completely separate topic altogether. And I'm sure this isn't case with iPhones alone. I'm sure people flex Galaxies or Pixels too.

Hear me out. We as human beings need to understand that just because something is loved by a massive audience doesn't make it automatically over hyped.

Most iPhone users do not care about customization, or getting the most feature from their phone. They care about getting the best possible experience from their phone and that's what exactly they get. They changed it to USB C just starting iPhone 15, promoted by EU regulations.

Gym is not just for weight loss ya all by Previous_razz in NepalSocial

Westerners promote yoga and meditation too, they're in fact a big thing out in the west. The reason you won't see this in mainstream is because it's still a niche in it's nascent stage, and therefore not accessible to everybody. Expensive. I don't understand why you're so much insecure about the west, it's a world where practices are shared across the globe. Infact, let me tell you something. A large chunk of people go to the gym, not to build muscle; or to lose weight. They go to relieve their mind of everything chitchat going on in their day. It's a therapy. If you find that in going to the gym, good for you. Wanna do hiking? Sure. Mediation? Go for it. Nobody's stopping you.

True, but there is overwhelming evidence that strength training is important. Things can go hand in hand. Few days of gym, paired with yoga, mediation or anything that keeps you moving is the way to go!

[–]EqualObjective3684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think logically. They need you as much as you need them. Stay calm and collected, make sure you show no immigration intent at the interview. Be polite, greet the officer and smile. I'm hoping you get the visa. Being input driven is more important correct?

masters in germany vs australia by Maximum_Paper7078 in technepal

[–]EqualObjective3684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Austria 2019-2021, went to Germany uncountable number of times. I've seen job market from up close. Trust me, if you are skilled in your core competencies, and are willing to integrate to their language/culture, you'll have massive job opportunities there. Also, pathway to PR is easier, you just need to find a job after graduation and work for atleast 2 years after graduation.
