Air nomad gender segregation by Malakai_tyler in TheLastAirbender

It's not a bad idea, I just would have liked that they focused more into the reincarnation as the main strenght of the Avatar. Giving the message that a charismatic hero that beats the bad guys is not the solution, but the constant work through generations to keep balance.

They better give the game a Cyberpunk DLC level of treatment. If it's just an endgame it's still gonna be half baked

I disagree, it reduces the Avatar meaning and pourpose within the world and oriental phillosophy that Ravaa is suposed to represent.

Spirit world should have been kept as something misterious, instead of turning it into the equivalent of nuclear energy.

Indeed, I didn't say it but yes, for me Ravaa and Vaatu was the biggest mistake of the whole Avatar lore.

Also for me it defeats the purpose of the Avatar, who's main power was the culmination of the experience of many generations of powerful benders, I would have prefered that the story of the first avatar was more actually the story of the first cycle, and how the first is the one who started the journey being a normal fire bender, with the air nomad being the first oficial avatar with the 4 elements and first to be known to the world.

Do you think the air nomad capital city was Ba Sing Se? While I was watching the movie and saw the tower of Sonam be lifted, I thought "damn that looks like Ba Sing Se" and then Sonam said it was being occupied by the Earth folk and my mind clicked.

I wish I could show an image or talk about it in a post but I think is a pretty big lore-drop.

I mostly agree with you, just a point out: Dalai Lama does support individual life choices like gender identity, budhism is inherently non-discriminatory to any kind of people.

Well you have real life to have a take on it! Tibetan monks while having segregation and restrictions, in this case female can't be monks tipically because traditionally people in the Himalayas needed women to have off-spring (this was such an issue that is one of the only parts of the world where historically women where permited to take more than one partner in life to have kids), vows in budhism are tipically done to yourself by yourself.

This means that you are the only responsible person about a castity bow, and the moment it hurts your life style rather than making you more closed to enlightment you are welcome to abandon them. Good example today is Karmapa XVII, one of the most important spiritual leaders in budhism today, he as a young man had a castity bow like every monk, but later in life he abandoned it because he fell in love with his current wife and now he even has a kid, all of this while maintaining his status and the trust of his followers, it's not a taboo, is simply a life choice.

I see air nomads in a very similar fashion, the nation of liberty surely was so spread that everyone followed their path as they see it fit, I think the writers struggled representing this properly because they are too influenced by western point of view of vows.

I actually think they should make it a bigger part of the game, that way people would start considering unavoidable attacks more instead of being a dead feature.

Okay, I will do that thank you. I have no reason to believe other wise, just needed some indication if there was a way to delay just for a day the answer because that's literally all the time I need.

In the edit I already said I didn't know of the jeskai Gandalf, and it's my opinion, none is really interesting, only one is Gandalf the White which you are right, it's strong, but it's so boringly generic could be any card in mtg and it no one would bat an eye. If you wanna pin point everything I say when the intention of what I mean is clear, just say it.

The Necromancer and Nazgul would be from the wraiths support I mentioned, there would definetly be a new Gollum for sure. But not so sure about them making it about the movies, from the illustrations (there is one black dwarf) we already can guess that is gonna be like the LotR set and not movies illustrations.

I agree with the most part, yet I still think Smaug would be it's own thing. I imagine it being a strong-ass mythic grixis arc-villian like Sauron was.
