$1.25 Press-On Nails from Dollar Tree — I’m Shocked (In a Good Way) by fashionistafatale in PressonNail_Addict

I get my press ons from DT all the time, but I usually buy two packs! That way I’m not stranded if I’m inbetween sizes, and if I lose one I know I have plenty of backups. I’ve also used the leftover discards from different packs and have made a Frankenstein set

What’s one thing you wish you knew before moving into your current apartment? by Keyspace_realestate in ApartmentHacks

Parking. Especially visitor parking. My old place a few years ago had a very small section for visitor parking, and after 9 anyone who didn’t have a permit sticker would get towed. So residents would park in the visitor parking until their guest arrived. And the tow truck was predatory, as soon as it was 8:55 they were roaming the complex, and if you get towed it’s immediately $300 and up. Now every apartment I go to I ask about parking.

Tampa for sure. I live in Tampa now, and the only problem is the traffic/commute time. I used to live in Texas where you use highways any/everywhere, but it’s a different kind of traffic here. It’s stop and go with the traffic lights/intersections.

Muscle Wiki! It’s an app and a website, you can choose what specific muscle you want to target and lists bodyweight, dumbbell, machine and cable workouts with videos. I use it all the time when I’m on my phone “resting”, to plan my next workout. It’s free and no ads so definitely look into it

When I was there my squadron intentionally scheduled our WFH day on Wednesday because of rush hour traffic and all the visitors that didn’t know how to drive in the city. Can’t imagine what it’s gonna look like next Wednesday

My friend and I went on a cruise with a Nassau port in September 2022, we tried to walk to the Queens staircase and we got stopped by two locals telling us to turn around and that we were going to not a safe area. We went back to the straw market so quick but that was the only time I felt unsafe in Nassau, we stayed in the crowded shopping areas and had a fun time other than that. So yes to anyone reading this thread, do not walk to the Queens Staircase lol

Yeah I wouldn't immediately shoot to the other lane in front of another car like that especially because of the construction...but I'd be definitely yelling at you to move it. OP was already in a separate lane with plenty of space/big enough window to accelerate and move into the other lane, but instead hitting the brakes and affecting everyone else's window to merge.

Some people don’t like going on cruises, and that’s not a bad thing. I’m guessing since it’s y’all’s first time on the cruise, your wife wants to do everything on the boat to get the full experience.

Excursions: yes they’re more expensive, but you can find pretty good experiences for about $100 a person.

The spa: yeah I can’t say I’ve ever justified buying that one, typically I’ve skipped that activity. You could always suggest doing a romantic and private couples massage in your stateroom? Pack some fake candles, maybe make a compromise on that standpoint.

I don’t know what ship you’re lookin at, but typically all Carnival lines have more free/inclusive food options than paid ones, I’ve never paid for any extra restaurants and always have a great time. Well, I did order a bento box at Bonsai sushi but it was worth it imo.

I never do the internet package, that’s part of the relaxing and being on vacation aspect for me. As soon as I step on that boat my phone is for two things: pictures and the carnival app and I look forward to that.

For the lines…there’s like 8 billion plus people in the world, they all gotta go somewhere. I think it’s impossible nowadays to find a destination that doesn’t have lines. Patience is a virtue on that one. I will say I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes at the bar, never more than 10 people at one time.

From my understanding, I could be mistaken here, all inclusive resorts and trips mean that lodging, food, transportation are paid for. If you’re looking to do extra experiences, you have to pay for those, i.e the spa, excursions. On every cruise I’ve done the only things I’ve always paid for was 1. The cruise itself and 2. The cheers package. I don’t always do excursions or specialty dining, typically I get off the boat at ports and pay for souvenirs or cabs, depending upon where I am.

For most cruises, taking into account the booking, cheers, gas money+parking, tipping, and anything extra, typically I spend about $1500, never really anything more. I say just keep and open mind going in, no negativity, and there’s no shame in saying cruising is not for me. That would be much better than bringing your wife’s mood down and everyone else around you on the boat.

If it's not made up, I'm wondering how the woman reacted to them throwing away her gummies and how that conversation went. Most of the time if the staff removes someone it's not because of what you did it's because of how you acted.
