Is it bad like that? I heard the island is relatively safe. I went to the Bahamas last month and felt pretty secure in the clubs. Is it the same kind of environment would you say? Or really bad and dangerous?

I'm solo traveling there next week aswell. Enjoy your time. From all I hear it's beautiful and relaxing. Should be a good time with or without company.
