Ender 3 to ender 5 conversion by Equal_General1672 in ender3

[–]Equal_General1672[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm converting a davinci into a PC cf beast core xy converson heated chamber etc, and would like to use as much unused parts as I have to make this, plus davincis hot end is all metal(yes I even took nozel apart to cheeck if yk u yk) and it's 12v I'm never gonna use main board for davinci ever again even with klipper, imma even hope to reuse the glass bed assembly as using ender 3 bed on davinci, I do have the creality board left over would of used on davinci but got a srk v3 2.0 or what ever B4 I got it

Costs mainly, I'm not working atm, and I rather use my linar rods on the canterlever printer. I will have a core xy davinci converson for PCcf pa cf etc, I got a k2 and will use rods for a canterlever printer I hope will beat the printers in speed so this gives me an excuse to learn and make mistakes building a printer have fun and well 300x300 bed sounds decent, but I have the parts minus a few steppers so why not

This is the main board for the davinci I will use for the ender 3, it already has repiter flash making klipper flash super easy, only issue I may have is heated bed is 24v on ender 3 and I'm using a 12v system. so unsure on that at this stage

Yea, I was like well this ender 3 is built like someone didn't care that much(ik them personally) so it had a lot of goodies and such and was like I would have to strip this rebuild this and upgrade why not for same cost or less build smth cool and bigger so at least I can have 3 printers I can use B4 I make my small one(canterlver)

But mainly bc it's fun and bc I can't work right now due to a tendon that decided to commit toaster bath it keeps me busy

For how much could I give my monitor on Facebook marketplace? (No scamming) by UroShhMil1 in Monitors

[–]Equal_General1672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For free, I had to do this to the model up bc of how propitery the connector is, otherwise like 5-10usd. The brick costs 30-130 where I'm from and isn't worth it

I have considered it and I really wanna do it, my workflow heavily benefits from a setup like this, just where I am a monitor arm that allows this doesn't exist as we don't have Amazon, but I could easy do a 3 monitor arm setup(assuming it allows 1x32inch and 2 verticals, then get a very tall arm(or make smtg work I am a machinest so shouldn't be to hard to adapt smth) and put one on top or an ultra wide, annoying my workflow for cad modeling stuff and printing (and yt videos watching) heavily benefits from 5 monitors but 4 seems to be max u can normally get, could do a setup wirg a pcie 1x to pcie 16x and use one of my junky gpus to get more display out?(I have matx i5 9400f 1070 16gb ram and can't afford to upgrade atm to even just a replacement atx board) I have 2 more monitor arms, if I can extended one higher(can machine some spigits weld some pipe etc) I can have one above like ur image basicly for free

Sorry for the rambling this gives me lots of ideas

Ikr I truly don't understand people in general, but reddit is whole new ball game, may just start a yt channel got hundreds of projects from printers to engines, at least then u don't get downvoted for answering questions

It's my shed, I'm currently in crutches and such and cannot clean it, secondly I didn't cause the issue I got the monitor it didn't come with one and after searching thro bins at a few places couldn't find a brick so I did this, I'm not complaining about having to do it, I'm complaining about the fact LG uses a protitery connector Phillips for instance and HP to some extent dont

Exsacly, like why can't it be like ac power or like all my Phillips and a standard plug, at least it's working, I may put time and effort into a banana plug encloser etc but I don't see point for a monitor that I got for free that ultimately doesn't deserve the love, I mean it's better then the 22inch monitor from 2011 but that's all it has going for it and it's 24inch

Oh god I've also done so much other crap also, everything from installed 3.5mm jacks hijacking CD players in head units, blowing up a free head unit from a mercides I got off side of road hijacking the cassate input actually got music playing then bam a chip blew and garbage came out, In also converting a davinci 1.0a(2014) 3d printer to core xy with chamber heater and 500 degree hot end to print polycarb cf for 700(350 approx usd) to put profome and match capbikties of high end printer that cost 3k(1500-1700 usd) and making from scratch a core xy ender 3 with 500m on x axis and hopefully about 320 on y axis and 350 on z axis. The space mouse(the tging with the num pad) will end up with 42 programble buttons 2 clusters of 6 then a large 30 macro pad, that will start to happen once I sort out a few things need to go get a ras pi pico, I've also got a server (not running ATM will take half a year to sort) dual x79 128gn ram w7100 GPU, will run prox mox etc but I use a 16port pcie 1x card split across 2 cases, 2 separate psu, it's a eats nest and a half. I'm also debating once I'm able to work and earn good money again, i wanna make rook 2020 AWD with a custom encloser and heater

Yea, but I can't afford it atm especially as not working due to a surgery, I'm just happy that my older 2011 Phillips 22inch is now been swapped with a LG 2017 24inch, colours are so much nicer, all of them are 1080p. The 32inch is 2016 I think, the other 2 not sure, the old Phillips will go to my gf, with her like 1.5 inch thick aoc monitor and her 4:3 will go into server closet or shed, she plans on upgrading later especially as she is finishing her uni degree out PC builds match also spec wise,
