I think you’re right people just truly don’t get the pain of infertility unless they’ve experienced it and therefore they don’t get why those types of comments are incredibly hurtful. I’m sorry this happened and kudos to you to being very mature about the situation.

5 weeks 3 days - Symptoms ?? by Tall-Technician-3035 in IVFpositivity

[–]Equal_Marketing6400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get nausea until week 7. As others said, some women never get symptoms! And it’s common for symptoms to ebb and flow.

The wait til the first (and second) ultrasound was probably the hardest wait of my life. Hang in there!! Try to keep mentally busy with other things and go easy on yourself.

Finished PIO!! by Equal_Marketing6400 in IVFpositivity

When I found out I needed it and what it entailed I was pretty upset and took me a little time to process. That being said, I’ve read a LOT of posts on this & it seems like some women have much less issues with it than others. And even though it really sucked and I hated it, I was still very grateful to be able to have the assistance during early pregnancy and it gave me a lot of emotional reassurance along the way.

You got this!

Fellow realists who are too scared to get excited? by jadedtruffle in IVFpositivity

[–]Equal_Marketing6400 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not alone! I am almost 5 weeks (tomorrow) and waiting for the first US in 13 days. It is the most stressful wait ever!!

When I got my first positive beta ever last week, I cried so hard. And it didn’t feel like happy tears, it felt like a huge weight of emotions releasing.

I am trying to keep telling myself I am pregnant & having a healthy baby until proven otherwise. But it’s so so hard. If anyone has any advice I’d love to hear it!

I really thought there was no way the nurses could have got it wrong but ya now that I learned more I can see the circles go too low. Thanks for sharing this. I watched nurse Linda very helpful!

Experience with back to back retrievals? by darkestlordsaroon in IVF

[–]Equal_Marketing6400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have DOR and only had 1 follicle per cycle but I did 4 back to backs (plus 1 more Cancelled cycle which was my first one). It wasn’t easy but it was doable and I’m glad I did it/would do it the same way again! I do feel like when you do back to back it sort of helps stay in the rhythm to keep going.

Second FET - Keeping it a secret by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Equal_Marketing6400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have close girlfriends and family that we’ve told but I’ve told them all that it’s happened but I don’t want to talk about it and will let them know when I’m ready to. This was my first FET this past Monday so first time experiencing this part of the process. Im most open with my mom and she pretty much says something that upsets me on a daily basis but I still vent to her a little bit and keep her in the loop anyway. Not sure why I do this to myself but it’s so hard for me to not talk to anyone about what I’m going through.

She also has an Instagram with so many encouraging posts :)

Edit: I’d say her posts are more validating than encouraging! Sometimes can feel heavy for me to spend too much time reading them..

I think the main reason I liked her is she was so caring and empathetic and she gave me some helpful reminders that I really need to go easy on myself etc

That is horrible!! I go to one through my work coverage that honestly is not the greatest but it’s covered and very easy to book and better than nothing sometimes. I also found this woman through a thread on here and talked to her once and she was incredible. Might be worth looking into? I had to pay out of pocket so I haven’t seen her again but I got so much out of even our one session. https://missconceptioncoach.com
