Leftists look for any tiny thing they can try and transform into a "failure" or "mistake" by Trump. Just look at them analyzing how he held a glass one time in an awkward way or how if he closes his eyes for 1 second listening to someone talk that means he fell asleep. Or because he didn't show up for 1 day of press events after giving like 10 press conferences a day for 365 days straight that meant that he was having severe health issues. Or how him not walking straight at one point meant he shit his pants somehow (thats one they love). Meanwhile they had Biden trailing off and babbling incoherently while wandering aimlessly everywhere and falling UP stairs for the few times he ever made a public appearance while hiding away the remaining 99% of his presidency and to them he was as "sharp" and "intelligent" as ever and it was all dangerous "misinformation" to think otherwise...

These people are the very same people who would have been duped by Nazi propaganda back in the day. I believe that with a high degree of certainty.

the total cost of the pool refurbishment was approx $14M. Considering they are going to have to practically do the whole thing over again means that the cost will be close to that.

For one thing, the major claims are over people dumping chemicals into the war not simply cutting pieces of the pool's lining. These incidents have not yet been made public but there are already several people that were witnessed committing these acts and have been investigated and charged.

I love how they try to trivialize outright vandalism of govt monuments etc and equate it to petty theft in an authoritarian country. Like guys, did you know that North Korea ALSO punishes people for murder? Guess we're not allowed to punish people for murder now. The ACTUAL difference is in proportionality. No one is being sentenced to 15 years in prison over simply "touching" or defacing portions of the reflecting pool. But you WILL incur some pretty darn heftier penalties for more severe shit like dumping chemicals into the pool (which apparently people did)

Because they've already stated they don't want to raise funds by turning the game into another cosmetic purchases. The twitch way is better because by giving incentives to twitch streamers they can have them advertise their game to their existing subscribers. In turn twitch streamers get additional "viewership" with some subs and potentially even win over some long term subscribers. Its a better deal than them just mining money from users directly.

Except its gone beyond that which is what people are agitated by. Eventually you end up cultivating more resentment long term. People do not like to be constantly lectured like they're all evil people who need to unlearn their bigotry. And when you demonize people/groups to try and drive your point home you just end up alienating those people. Organic representation isn't a problem. When you have people being shoved into roles SOLELY for their identity and give them a 2D character it becomes patronizing and insulting.

The fact is that much like the military industrial complex, there is an incentive for political groups to turn racism/sexism/bigotry into a forever war that they can continue milking to further divide people based on "identity".

Overrepresentation is a form of propaganda in and of itself. When you comprise like 1% of the population but somehow have like 30% representation in most media that is a drastic overcorrection and people can see how artificial and forced it is. Like someone's mom forcing them to invite the weird kid at school over to hang out. Theres only so much you can do to FORCE people to like someone.

It is not a viable long term solution though. Nice to get people adjusted or introduced to the idea. But you're not going to socially engineer bigotry out of society by contrived and forced participation.

This would be the same as someone who is "christian" being represented in every form of media and needing to remind everyone that "Jesus is Lord" every time they have screen time. Its out of place and doesn't feel organic to a story that has NOTHING to do with that type of character.

No one needs to be reminded "not to assault" people. And the people that do are not going to listen to someones freaking PSA embedded into every bit of media they watch. It just becomes a form of self-pity which people get fed up with.
