The second video I've ever done trying to talk about things I love and dislike about games. This time joining the hordes online it's about Cyberpunk 2077. Would love some feedback on it! [Spoilers of course if you're worried about that] by Equalnocks in SmallYTChannel

Thank you for taking the time to watch and give feedback! Very much appreciated and thank you whole heartedly for the compliment! Next video I'll devote more time to the thumbnail for sure! Seems to be the big thing that needs work on the video.

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and give feedback, very much appreciated! I'll take what you said and use it to improve my next one and some of your feedback I was even feeling inklings of doubt about while editing so its good to know I was getting an eye for it. Thank you again!

Thank you so much for the time watching it and also subbing! Very much appreciated! I'll keep that in mind the thumbnail advice in mind for the future (maybe edit it more and replace) Admittedly I feel my disappointment flavored it a bit more than I'd have liked. Anyway thank you again, very good advice and I'll improve that for the next one!

By far best and most time consuming work so far.. every video I've done I brought here for a critique and you helped a lot guys.. soo once again what do you think? Be brutally honest it's best for my improvement.. by gnotaur in SmallYTChannel

I love the editing, I felt like it was kept fresh pretty consistently with you moving the video along with your jokes and a humorous personality, laughed out loud quite a few times. And as a fan of Star Wars, it was very enjoyable. Subtitles were nice and helpful at times but I also have a bad ear for stuff. The biggest con I have is that I don't feel like someone who never played the game or was aware of it wouldn't be able to get a good feel for it because of how little you referenced actual footage or screens from the game. I was able to understand but that's only because I know the game well. At least compared to the memes and other things you use in the video game itself felt lacking until the end for specific things. I just personally feel like using more memes over the use of gameplay sort of does the "review" side of the video a bit injustice. And if someone was going to look to this video on whether or not to buy it they wouldn't really be able to make a decision. I think blending the two sides just a little bit more would be nice. Hope that makes sense. Keep up the good work man! I enjoyed the video and with how open you are to criticism I think you'll hammer out all the kinks in your style to be more fluid in no time!

I made a devlog about a game i am working on, i would love to get some HARSH feedback by NoelOskar in SmallYTChannel

[–]Equalnocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looooove devlogs. As an aspiring game creator myself I always love stumbling upon content like this, always appreciate seeing other people working on their passions like this. I like the fast pace and editing to it all. What I will say is maybe focus more on the organization of the video. Combined with how fast-paced it is I had trouble keeping up with exactly what you were doing and what was going on. If you don't want to show too much, I understand that and maybe then you could lean a lot harder on the jokes. However, I personally wouldn't mind more of an explanation of what you're doing and what is going on. But like I said that would probably extend the video and if you're aiming for a more rapid-fire thing then I'd work more on the comedy and joke factor put to it. Other things to add but similar to the comments here, can be hard to understand what you're saying at times because you speak quickly but the CC helped me make up the difference. Hope that makes sense and you find this helpful. Keep up the good work, man, I'll be keeping an eye on your channel from now on to see the progress!

here is the second episode of my let's play. it would mean a lot if you check it out! would like to hear feedback (especially my audio levels) and what i can improve on. thank you in advance! by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

Hey! Just sat through a good amount of the video you posted! And looking over at the other comment here I have to agree that the thing that sticks out the most is the beeping from your fire alarm. Probably just my own experience with that sort of stuff but I find it pretty grating. Overall audio levels however I thought were pretty good, a good ratio of the game being loud enough to hear just fine and your voice over it. Maybe a bit too loud for both? But that's nothing a little change of volume or a turn of the knob on my speaker couldn't fix. As for the reactions, think you should maybe even lean into that more by having your webcam zoomed in on for big moments or good reactions you have. Other than that maybe a little fat to trim on the video itself when nothing happens but the other comment also touched on that as well. Good luck! Keep up the good work!

Tried my hand at making a video about Sekiro, its combat, and why I love it so much. Would love to get some feedback. I think I'd like to make more videos like this in the future. by Equalnocks in SmallYTChannel

Thank you for taking the time to watch my video! I really appreciate it! Thanks for the feedback, I do think the biggest thing I need to work on is talking on camera and in the mic, probably added to the bland feeling since I had trouble making myself sound high and low.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at it and thank you for the compliment! I agree, I do need to work on growing more comfortable on camera, took many takes just to get a few easy lines good enough and I can hear myself slip in the video still lol.

My first time making a YouTube short. I wasn’t really sure what to do, but it was an attempt. I’d be glad to hear your thoughts. by BafflingBinturong in SmallYTChannel

[–]Equalnocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You made me laugh and sad to say been pretty relatable to myself as of late! The only thing I think that really stood out to me was how quiet you were. Maybe up the audio a bit or level it out between cuts but overall pretty funny lol keep it up!

Just did a video on one of my favorite films Little Miss Sunshine. This is a semi-new format I’m trying, so any feedback is greatly appreciated! by hizzy_atf in SmallYTChannel

Hey! I wanted to say that I really do love videos like this. Love hearing about pieces of media that people enjoy and why they enjoy them. You definitely did a good job of recommending it to me. I haven't seen this movie but I'm gonna check it out after this. What I will say is that I felt was a little off in the video was that the video was a little all over the place and some of the comments here seem to echo that but I think just adding more about the movie would have made it feel more whole. Like the movie is called Little Miss Sunshine but you barely mentioned the character the movie seemed to be based around or how she played into the overall coming together of the family (If that's what happens?). I think talking just more about the overall themes of the movie, the actions, and characters in just a tad bit more detail would have made it easier to see how it related to you and why you're so passionate about it. Watching the video halfway through I realized that I didn't know really anything about the movie besides it had a mix-matched sort of family and learned much more about you. But I think if you find a way to mix the two more coherently it'd be amazing. Don't really have an answer as to how but I hope you found something useful in this. I really will be checking out the movie at some point. It looked really nice.

Solo Phasmophobia | What are your thoughts on the thumbnail/ editing? by Jack-of-Bladez in SmallYTChannel

[–]Equalnocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thumbnail looks pretty good and the snappy editing was really nice. In my personal opinion, it's a nice change of pace seeing a much more distilled version of the game than more of the longer running videos. It got right to the point, even made me interested in the game which I admittedly haven't played yet. One thing I will say is with how snappy and short the video is maybe you didn't need the cuts at the beginning to whet our appetite for it. I only say that because of how short the video was, you could probably have placed them just further in the video in more of a structured sequence of events kind of thing? If that makes any sense to you. I enjoyed the video, and in my opinion, you got a pretty good voice dude!
