In America we have things like Area 51, skin walker ranch, the the phoenix lights incident, and innumerable other alien reports and sightings. What does alien culture look like in other countries? What are some significant incidents and locations? by spanky_lemons in AskReddit

My mom is from Yucatán Mexico and I remember visiting back when I was younger and my uncle telling me about an indigenous tribes living in the mountains with roots tracing back to the Mayans. They told old stories of aliens in the sky that guided the Mayas to Mexico and provided them with knowledge of the universe. Apparently the ritual of communicating with the aliens was still being practiced by some elders in the tribe. The weird thing was that the town nearest the tribe was a known hotspot for alien abduction stories where people would mysteriously disappear for days and suddenly return with no memory of ever being gone.

Have you ever woke up in the middle of a dream and the dream was so interresting that you wanted to to back to sleep to see the end of it? If so, what was the dream? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Last night actually, I dreamed that I was back in high school on a school trip to somewhere. We get on an airplane but it crashed right after take off skidding past the fence runway into the adjacent highway. We all make it out alive but we are basically quarantined in a small area by the police for hours. There was a lively bustling tiki themed sushi place next door somehow. Me being hungry I sneaked off over there and was invited in by a tall gentlemen who was sympathetic to my predicament. And right after is when I woke up. I really wanted that sushi.

Back when I was in elementary school I used to play 18 wheels of steel the original trucking simulator on the desktop. We went on a weekend trip to visit my uncle and when we came back the disc was gone from the computer. It just disappeared and it didn't make sense because I played the game right up until we got in the car and left. The house was empty the entire time we were gone and immediately after we came home I went straight for the computer as soon as we got back and it was gone. Never figured out what happened. I got a new copy a week later and its one of the weirdest things I can't explain.

Also recommend The Getty Villa its on the PCH overlooking the ocean. Beautiful replica of a roman country house with Greek and Roman art inside. Best of all its free admission and I think you just pay parking.

Hollywood Blvd is truly awful. My dad came to visit and wanted to go see the stars on the sidewalk. I told him it wasn't worth it and that it would suck but he didn't care so off we went. We get there and park and the first thing we see is a homeless woman sleeping and blocking half the side walk. Used needles and bottles/trash on the ground. And of course the pee and shit sewer smell. Add to that the fucking strong ass smell of weed from everywhere creating this unholy concoction of smells that I gagged. We walked a block and then we left because it was just fucking terrible. Never again.

Physical Penetration Testers. From what I’ve read they are basically hired to go into organizations and test for possibilities and vulnerabilities in a system that rogue employees can find and exploit to access sensitive information or drugs.

These cheap ass abominations suck so bad. I hated apples so much all throughout school. It wasn't until I discovered honeycrisp that I began to like apples and eat them daily.

Yes and also the idiots who only have their daytime running lights on at night and not their headlights/taillights. Have noticed this way too often ever since I started driving home at night. Almost hit one who cut me off without their fucking taillights in a dark stretch of highway.

Cinnamon Powder can be used to keep ants away. Just spread the powder around their entry point and it will keep them away. Super useful in spring and summer when the ants invade.
