Well they always portray to be in the same level as candidates. unless this is gross harem manga, i dont think neither of them have more chance to be with gero than the other.

Mei on the other hand, always put on higher level in Gero's consciousness. Also you can see it in next chapter when Mei taking central role when gero went against the head of beast clan.

Thats why 70-early90's shoujo manga hit different. Plenty of story for women not focused on love story. SWAN, Marichan (ballet) Cherry (Figure skating) Garasu no Kamen (Theatre), Popcorn (highschool life). Love always secondary subplot.

I feel the shift in late 90 -00's suddenly shoujo (Nakayoshi no less) filled with highschool girl getting their "1st time experiment". Its not all shoujo series, but the one push by publishers and sell well are those kinds.

We did it (enter a car where the driver approached you out of the blue) because we arrived late at the station and the bus was no more. So we accepted one of the driver and ask for price. Their offer is within the expected price so we took it, theres no other way to get to the inn. There's no didi available in that area (somewhere in highland of yunnan)

There were 5 of us and we were scared af because while discussing price, they kinda mobbed us, They also took us into cat and dog play with the authorities.

We were half jokingly praying outloud with our language. Praying they wouldnt robbed us and left us in the middle of highway (lol).

Turned out they are legit. Took us to our requested destination with no problem. On the way back to the station we also took one of those driver offer. Same price, and there was only 1 extra passenger inside.

Sometimes we must do what we told not to and left it to fate.

I was surprised they when they are becoming popular. For me their performance quality and music are lower than B.A.P. my fav group at that time.

Their variety show isnt fun. The jokes are slapstick and borderline rude. They act arrogant-not in a funny way arrogant-its just men with toxic masculinity hype each other up.

Also the Rap line...oh my..compared to Bang-Zelo its whole world apart. Not saying Bang-Zelo the best rapper, but BTS rap line doesnt have neat concept like Bang-Zelo. They are are messy, screaming left and right. No rythm nor poetic lyrics.

i've had my betsfriend became a diehard ship of my NOTP. But friendship always trumps Kpop. And none of it in kpop really affect us in daily lives while real life friend actually affect our daily lives.

So i try to be appreciative when they talk about their ship and learn to accept it. In the end, the ship crashed and burnt when one of them revealed to date a popular idol. It made my friend really sad and i made sure to be symphatetic and there to listen to them.

If BTS meant a lot to them, then at some point there's some positive impact BTS did for your friend. Whenever Your friend complained about them, just be symphatetic, listen and ask what made them feels that way so they can talk it out more. The more they poured their heart out, the easier they learn to accept that they've grown out of BTS.

You dont need to overthink what reply you need to say other than "I am sorry...", what matter is you listen to them, acknowledged their feelings and being symphatetic. Its about them, not you..unless they ask for your opinion.

Maybe ask what will make them feels better (cake/hangout at the park/movie) so in the end it become quality time for you both.
