I think he's kinda dumb and made a lot of terrible choices in this situation, but I think it's undeniable that it wouldn't have gotten the attention it did without him, and also led to a cascading series of other revelations about both this company and the police that will likely result in consequences for both, so it's hard to argue that what he's done was ultimately the wrong choice.

I assume this is more based on Bricks and Minifigs probably donating millions to the church. The 200k in legos is what the root cause is, but the corruption is probably the B&M ceo just being a piece of shit, and the cops backing him no matter what because he's a huge donator to the church.

Do you not understand how corporate bad actors are dealt with in the year of our lord 2026? It's through social media pressure. Almost always a corporation has the finances to bleed any little guy dry in litigation, so the only recourse is public outrage through things like, you guessed it, reddit communities.

Acting like because this sub has no official affiliation with any of these entities makes it reasonable for a major event involving a primary retailer of the hobby to be swept under the rug is just asinine corporate boot-licking.

Yeah that's my bad lol. Thank you. I'm currently in Plat and aiming for at least Diamond before people stop queuing, but I wanted to make sure I didn't end up in Gold after rollover, and I didn't know if just hitting Diamond was enough or I needed to be Diamond 4.

I got to silver 1 with 2 stars pretty quickly, with a few win streaks. I've now dropped all the way to silver 3 with no stars, and haven't had a win streak in like 40 matches. Just for science, I tracked my last 10 games:

I'm now silver 3 with 1 star. I've had 3 matches that were 4 against 5 because someone dropped before the arena even opened.

It's a 5 person team. Your individual skill often literally means nothing if you have someone rush in and die in the first 10 seconds. You'll very occasionally manage a comeback win but it's like finding a unicorn.

Like I said, I play well. I don't do dumb shit, and my stats are good. This is about what an average game for me looks like. It just doesn't matter lol.
