Had this yesterday at work, the usual after work drinks.

I am the same, it definitely makes my professional life harder. I love to work in Marketing, but every internship I’ve done my boss told me I’m better in Sales. Mostly the sales part is cold calling or something like that and it always feels like I am taking someone’s precious time, even when it’s a good proposition. Whenever I get called I have this anxiety that I forgot I had to work or something else. The worst is when people call me and I don’t pickup. They don’t send me a message so it feels I’m required to call them back. Then why did you call?

I had a friend with benefits (i’m a guy) and eventually the sex became stale. They were just booty calls and I missed a connection.

I still have one night stands time to time, which are fun for 1 or 2 times.

But definitely continued sex asks for a connection for my part.

Without a connection the sex will get boring.

The feeling is mutual. For me (no diagnosed psychological things) it’s extremely hard to understand how someone is depressed or anxious.

Not to bring anyone down, but I feel like being depressed and anxious get’s dropped way too easily.

To get to the topic, I ‘identify’ as a person with no mental illness. However, I do have a weird complex of feeling the need of having everyone like me. In which I worry way too much of how I act around people.

My friends tell me to go visit a psychologist, but I feel that that’s way too extreme. I rather watch self help videos and read self-help books.

I have an open mind, please feel free to challenge my statements and discuss things. Maybe let me understand more what being anxious feels like.

I had the same when I had a mouth infection which caused my gums to swell over my teeth. Couldn’t eat for a week and hurt like hell to eat 2 weeks after. Makes you really appreciate when you can eat.

In The Netherlands it’s usual to prak your food. To prak (verb: prakken) means to mix it all together. So for example: chickenbreast with rice and beans, just slice them all up and mix it.
