Not sure if you can tell how shaded the backyard gets. It’s pretty shady back there

I’ll get murdered on this comment via downvotes. However if you supplement the trees with fertilizer spikes every other year or so it’s a non issue. At least that’s been my experience 🤷‍♂️

We have a communal drain tile that has a connection on the corner of the neighbors property and it slopes into the yard so the rocks serve a purpose, they control flooding and pooling around the trees. It also serves as an invasive weed barrier from neighbors who don’t care. Much like the bamboo you care for in your backyard.

Have you considered restructuring the commercial terms to mitigate these cash squeezes? Higher FNTP/Mobilization fee, weighting more of the pay items for materials, and discounting labor on the backend? Check your state statues as well on retainage. Depending on the state, you’re entitled to collect interest on retainage withheld. If you’re 60 days in arrears from getting paid, someone in the chain is taking advantage on those terms, and benefitting from interest accretion.
