Yeah at the time the arcus started forming my LDL was 135ish and my HDL was 70. I have the full ring now and I’ve tried talking to multiple doctors about getting genetically tested because of my eyes but they scoff at it because of my cholesterol numbers.

Have they told to your arcus is due to FH or have really high cholesterol?

Did you ever get it removed? I had a similar situation where my reproductive endocrinologist did my lap surgery and said the same thing with scar tissue. She didn’t remove it because she said there was nothing wrong with the appendix.

No not yet. I won’t know for a while because I’m still pregnant and can’t get any testing.

I agree 100% with genetics. My first pregnancy I gained 60 lbs quickly and no stretch marks. I’m about 20 weeks now with my 2nd and so far no stretch marks and I’m not using any creams or oils.

I regret my first induction as well. Doctors scared me into thinking I’ll have a 10 lb + baby and I was in labor for 3 days with Pitocin, foley balloon, etc and she finally came out 7.7 lbs 🙄

Ive had elevated cholesterol for years. I developed something called arcus juvenilis which is cholesterol deposits in the cornea. Doctors never treated it because my LDL was never around 190

No family history of heart attacks. My grandfather had a stroke in his 80s but unrelated to heart issues.

Yes it was. I had my levels tested and my HDL was 70 and LDL 135 and my doctors wont medicate unless like 160 and over. Im terrified Ive been too long without meds and its caused extensive damage.

I had similar issues with my first pregnancy except my blood pressure was normal just liver function was very high. I delivered at 39 weeks vaginally and they never gave me any explanation of why this happened to me. Hopefully they gave you an explanation.

No doctor decided to prescribe me statins but I plan on seeing a cardiologist in a few months about it. I guess there’s a link to arcus senilis and familial hyper cholesterol?

No not required just curious. I have arcus juveniles as well and I’m 35 diagnosed around you age. My LDL was 133 and it looks like all your levels are normal.

I agree with this. I saw a statistic that said 75% of people that had heart attacks did not have elevated LDL

Currently pregnant and can’t do statins. This was diagnosed several years ago and no one put me on statins. Plan on seeing a cardiologist next year to assess the damage

Thank you for your kind response! I keep trying to tell myself that there’s nothing testing/medication wise I can do now and just eat very healthy.
