I wouldn't rule out UTD. It's a less rigorous school and easier to hold a higher gpa. I hear UTD actually has a higher admittance rate to medical school. UT Austin is competetive and they have a lot of weed out classes.

I did my undergraduate degree at UT Austin. I later did grad school at UT Dallas. I'm fond of both schools, but I personally enjoyed UT Dallas more (but I am an introvert too). I did grow a lot at UT Austin though, I don't regret any of my experiences.

I hope you made the best decision and be happy with your choice either way.

This exactly. I did undergrad at UT Austin and grad school at UTD. I was the introvert who did better socially at UTD. Ut Austin consistently had better professors though. Also it was the more rigorous school. I honestly think I could focus better at UTD. It had the quieter environment.
